The Board of Directors of the Patriot Guard Riders is proud to Announce that Louann Thomas of Arizona, has been appointed as our new National Captain. Louann has been interim NC since September, when D.C. "Big Dog" Hannah stepped down from the position. At the time, Louann was serving as the Assistant National Captain since being appointed in March of this year. Louann started in the Patriot Guard in February of 2006, became a Ride Captain in April and was appointed to the State Captain position for Arizona in July. She served in that capacity until February of this year when she was asked to be the Regional Captain of the newly created Native American Region. The National Captain is the primary conduit between Region Captains and the PGR Board of Directors with issues, complaints, policies and procedures. The NC also fills in vacant positions in States and Regions until they can be filled from within. Please welcome Louann (again!) to the national staff.
