Itinerary has been updated to reflect new staging times. Pete will update his ride plan as he sees fit. (It may stand due to ferry schedules.)

The Gibbons Family has also invited us to attend the public viewing at 6pm on Friday at Rill's Life Tribute Center - 1151 Mitchell Av, Port Orchard, WA 98366

Please post (or send me an e/m or pm) if you are able to attend and we'll get ride plans set up. I know that because of weekday traffic it may be hard for most of you to get over there, but my hope is that some of our Riders in the Gig Harbor/Port Orchard/Bremerton/Silverdale area will be able to attend. It would mean alot to Devon's family.

Thanks, everyone.

When one bleeds, we all bleed, When one is taken from us, we all feel the empty void.
In the deepest part of every true patriots heart, is a pure positive energy that so truly desires to let your family know that your loss is also our loss. I know this is not always something that can be explained by a few simple written words no matter how hard I try to use my words to embrace you in this time of your family heart ache.
With Our Deepest Regret, And Our Highest Respectable Humble Regard, We openly shed more than just tears with you. Our heart aches knowing your feeling an aching void. Our heart ache is truly in honor felt for your loved one. It will be an honor and privilege for the Trophy Club Texas Bikers to stand tall, proud, respectful, silent and mourn in silence even at a distance from the state of Texas and continue to show our support to a heart broken family, state and nation.

To the Family of Devon Gibbons,

My heart aches for your loss. I'm thankful you had the time to spend with Devon to say all that you could say, to hold him and to talk with him. Devon, your fight is over and you have earned your peace.

May the happiest of memories always make you smile.

From a grateful American! You will all remain in my thoughts and prayers.

CONCEPT OF THE OPERATION

In my opinion the ferry will be cheaper than the gas and quicker than the drive around.  Meet at the Starbucks in the Wal-Mart Parking Lot East of I-5 exit 183 and South of 164th  Street.  Road Captain arrives (#1).  Riders to arrive NLT (#3) ready to go.  Please have your bike fueled and you “drained” BEFORE the Rider’s Briefing begins.

IAW with (#4), we will take I-5 south to West Seattle Ferry Terminal.  We will then board the ferry (#5) and continue on to (#6).  Bikes go to the head of the line in Washington Ferry Terminals.

Once we depart the ferry, (#8) we will head to a Marshalling area (Bowling Alley) (#9) where we will join with other PGR Riders and have a final Safety and Etiquette briefing.

We will depart IAW (#10).  Actions on arrival at (#11) will be covered at the Marshalling area.

(I will be caging it to this mission. I went down on the Road King yesterday and have a couple of broken ribs-Ox has volunteered to be Ride Captain for this mission.  See you Saturday morning)

28 Jun 2006 10:00 PM Alert

Due to the large volumes of holiday weekend traffic expected on Friday, I have opted not to put out a staging/ride itinerary for the 6pm viewing. The safety of our Riders is of the utmost importance, and I don't want anybody rushing to be anywhere. If you are able to attend, and I know some of you are (thank you!!), please go at your own pace and RIDE/DRIVE SAFE!!!

I will be attending. Haven't found a backseat to ride in on, so will likely be caging from Tacoma.

With respect,
~CleverLori

To the family of PFC Gibbons, my family's heart goes out to you for the loss of Devon. Our daughter, E1 Kelly Chunn USN, was especially saddened to hear of Devon's injuries and passing, for as a young child she rode the school bus with Devon and graduated with him. Please know that our thoughts have been with you and that your beloved son is a hero to all Americans. Always we will honor his memory and wish for you brief sorrow and eternal pride.

First, my heartfelt best wishes to the family of Pfc. Devon J. Gibbons. Second, it would be an honor to be there for tonight's viewing and tomorrow's funeral. I will try and meet up with the group heading through Allyn on Saturday, since I live in Belfair. Rebel -- I'll plan to meet up with your group at 0930; I'll wait at the fire station there on the main road.

I'll be on the wife's bike -- http://www.namronracing.com/Pics%2019%20Feb%2005/Harley_Harley6.jpg. She would be here in a heartbeat to ride, but she's the guest speaker at the AMA Women's Motorcycle Conference in Athen's, Georgia, and arrives there today. So I'll ride in her place.

I don't have the usual riding gear that most of you -- it's her bike; my boat situation. But I figure for an event like this, it doesn't matter.
