It is always a tragedy when a young life is cut short, but it is especially hard when it is someone you know. Like many who have gone before Cpl. Wallace found his place in life serving his country. The family was proud of his accomplishments and his dedication to service and family. Mary, his mother thanked my wife at work for what I had been doing with the PGR by attending services at ANC. I had no idea that within a month of her comments it would be her son that we ride for.

Fellow riders, please make this ride. The Wallace's are a special family. They have provided invaluable service to the community. Mary is a nurse who heals those in need. The family is active in church and minister to the souls of those in need. Now it is they that need the support of community and friends.

As a PGR member I ask for your attendance. I ask for your support. I know you all will do your best.

Dan Schneider

I Remember You

When I walk into my church,
free and without fear,
I remember you.

When I see children playing in the school yard,
girls and boys of all kinds,
I remember you.

When I see families working together,
regardless of religion or nationality,
I remember you.

When I go to sleep
without worry for my family's safety,
I remember you.

When I see our flag waving in front of my home,
and when I can salute that flag without fear of reprisal,
I remember you.

When I remember you,
I think of the sacrifices you made so I could have these things.
I think of your commitment and your service
beyond mere duty.
I think of all that you have given
so that I and those whom I love can be free.

When I pray at night and give thanks
for the blessings God has given,
I remember you.

This evening we have a soft schedule. Popeye will post it as soon as he gets it sorted out. But remember, it's still soft. Our young hero has yet to return home and his plane ride to Dover is still not in the air. One thing that is pretty firm is the Arlington schedule. We will be arriving there at 1000 on the 2nd. Departure form Leonardtown is still TBD, as well as the rally point. Bear with us folks, we can't firm up our schedule until our boy is on his way home...
