Sara Elton, Director Black Hills National Cemeteries has asked the PGR to join her, the South Dakota National Guard and other veteran groups in being part of the Unaccompanied Veteran's Memorial Service on Wednesday, July 1, 2009.
The Unaccompanied Veteran's Memorial Ceremony is a brief military committal of any veteran interred at Black Hills National Cemetery who arrived and were inurned or interred directly with out military committal services. As each name is read aloud with branch of service and hometown, there will be (3) three rifle volleys & Taps. An American Flag will be given to a member of the audience for each soldier's name read aloud.
Staging will be at the Windmill Truck Stop at 8:00 am with kick stands up at 8:15.
I will be there at 7:30 for anyone who would like have coffee prior to the mission.
