Today, July 5th, 2009 at 0200, Tennessee mourns the loss another one of her Great American Heroes, Charles Dean Dalton, 71, of Sullivan County, near Blountville, TN.  Charles served in the United States Army from 1961 - 1967, he was an E-4 when he was Honorably discharged. He followed with his other brothers into the duty of love of county and family when he joined the military.  Charles was the retired owner/operator of the Trade Winds Motel in Weber City, Va.
 
Survivors include his wife of over 49 years, Lorene Penley Dalton; his son, Charles Kelly "Chuck" Dalton and wife Carol; his granddaughter, Caitlin Priscilla Dalton; two brothers, Billy R. Dalton and wife, Thelma and Lowell T. Dalton; along with four nieces and seven nephews.  One of his nephews is our own PGR member from South Carolina, Mike Dalton, who will be with us here to Honor his uncle.
