Our sincere condolences to the family and friends of SSG. Jackson, USA. May God help you though this difficult time and sorrow. Know your son was and is a Hero to us all. Our thoughts and prayers are with you always. He will never be forgotten.

Rest Safely and Securely in God's Loving Arms, SSG. Jackson.

Going home, going home,
I'm just going home.
Quiet-like, slip away-
I'll be going home.
It's not far, just close by;
Jesus is the Door;
Work all done, laid aside,
Fear and grief no more.
Friends are there, waiting now.
He is waiting, too.
See His smile! See His hand!
He will lead me through.

Morning Star lights the way;
Restless dream all done;
Shadows gone, break of day,
Life has just begun.
Every tear wiped away,
Pain and sickness gone;
Wide awake there with Him!
Peace goes on and on!
Going home, going home,
I'll be going home.
See the Light! See the Sun!
I'm just going home.

Thank you for your service SSgt Jackson. May you rest in peace.

“Some people’s lives can truly make a difference however long or short their lives on earth. They give the gifts of kindness and of caring. They sow the seeds of friendship and self-worth. To the family and friends of the ever so young SSgt Paul Jackson,

There are no words or platitudes that can temper your pain. I can’t think of anything in life that could be more painful, then the loss of a loved one, especially a son.

I would, however, like to take a moment to remind you that as deep as the hole in your heart feels at this time, it will be filled over time with the wonderful times spent together.

“Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, love leaves a memory no one can steal” ~From a headstone in Ireland

Thank you Paul for your service to our nation, and it's people, you are a hero to all.

Always,

In looking for more on the life of SSG. Paul R.Jackson I came across the following that I would like to share.

Staff Sgt. Paul Jackson of Lancaster, Maryland grew up in Philadelphia attended Walter B. Saul High School. Known to his family as ‘Robe’, he began studies at the University of Maryland-Eastern Shore. Before long, he realized that he’d prefer doing something outdoors, so he joined a smoke jumpers team that put out forest fires in the northwestern United States. The outgoing guy with an adventurous spirit then volunteered for Army service in May 1998. Following basic training at Fort Jackson, South Carolina he successfully assessed with the 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment (Airborne) as a helicopter aircrew member. His military training includes the Strategic Deployment School, the Warrior Leader Course, the Survival, Evasion, Resistance and Escape Course, the Strategic Deployable School / Airlift Planners Course, the Combat Life Savers Course, and the Special Operations Training Course. Jackson’s awards include the Air Medal for valor, three Air Medals, two Army Commendation Medals, Army Achievement Medal, Presidential Unit Citation Award, Valorous Unit Award, two Army Good Conduct Medals, National Defense Service Medal, Korean Defense Service Medal, Afghanistan Campaign Medal-Campaign Star, Iraqi Campaign Medal-Campaign Star, Global War On Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Global War On Terrorism Service Medal, NCO Professional Development Ribbon, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon, the Combat Action Badge, the Senior Aircrew Member Badge, and the Basic Aviation Badge. Paul served in the Regiment for more than nine years. He is survived by his wife, Loni, daughter, Desiree, and his mother, Brenda Jackson. Paul died at age 33 when his MH-60 Black Hawk helicopter crashed near Leadville, Colorado during a training mission. Four Army Special Operations Aviation Soldiers died in the helicopter crash.
