LCpl. David R. Baker, USMC, 22, Painesville, OH, is to be laid to his eternal rest among his fellow Heroes on the hallowed grounds of Arlington National Cemetery (ANC) on Tuesday, 03 November, 2009 at approximately 0900 hours from the ANC Administrative Building. PGR offered Honors at his hometown services in Ohio, and has been asked to attend at ANC.  We will be there -- standing tall, silent, and proud for this true American Hero!

PGR will stand Honors at Murphy's Funeral Home prior to a mounted escort of the Hero from the FH to ANC, and then will follow the procession to and stand Honors at graveside.

03 NOV PGR ANC Mission Plan:

Stage:     0730 hrs    Murphy's Funeral Home, 4510 Wilson Blvd, Arlington, Va
Brief:       0740 hrs
Honors:   0745 hrs    At funeral home, prior to escort
Escort:    0800 hrs    FH to ANC Admin Bldg

Honors:   0900 hrs    Graveside ANC (time approx.)

Ride Captain:  Ride Captain:  Bruce Gentile  301-542-6707 cell

Iron Horses preferred, cages welcome as always.
Mounted large flags preferred for the Escort (furl upon ANC parking).
Large hand-held flags NOT used in ANC for graveside services.
Military mandated ID / gear NOT required for this mission.

Check the weather - dress & hydrate accordingly.

Remember we are here to honor the Hero and  family, friends, and
comrades-in-arms, and to stand tall, silent and proud.  If you cannot
join us, please set aside a moment of silence at the appointed hour,
to reflect on their sacrifice.

DoD Identifies Marine Casualty

                The Department of Defense announced today the death of a Marine who was supporting Operation Enduring Freedom.

                Lance Cpl. David R. Baker, 22, of Painesville, Ohio, died Oct. 20 while supporting combat operations in Helmand province, Afghanistan.  He was assigned to 1st Battalion, 5th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, I Marine Expeditionary Force, Camp Pendleton, Calif.
