On November 7th, 2009 the Patriot Guard had the honor of welcoming home SPC Matthew Horne, United States Army, Homosassa, Florida.  He has served a tour in Afghanistan and will be returned to finish his second tour after a two week visit with friends and family.  Matthew was quite surprised to see all our members with our flags and his mother Lynn was most grateful for the Guard turn out to honor her hero.

The Crystal River VFW did an outstanding job of adding to Matthew's welcome home surprise.  They had a great variety of food waiting for us and of course the same warm welcome any vet can expect from this fine organization.
