COURT OF VALOR VETERANS MEMORIAL DEDICATION
Prospect Hill Cemetery, York PA, 14NOV09 1300
On the Saturday following Veterans Day, the management of Prospect Hill Cemetery will be unveiling and dedication their memorial to those who have served and been awarded some of our nations highest awards. This memorial will be inscribed with the names and awards of our heroes past and present who have gotten purple hearts, bronze and silver stars and all other awards for distinguished service, bravery and valor. The memorial will be the centerpiece of the veterans section of this 160 year old historic cemetery. At present there are several CMH awardees along with a signer of the Declaration of Independence interred there. A section of this cemetery also is a National Cemetery containing
the final resting place of almost 200 Civil War soldiers.
The Patriot Guard Riders have been invited to attend as participants during the dedication ceremony by the management. We will once again stand tall and silent to witness and honor this memorial to those who deserve our respect for what they have done to preserve our freedoms.
Please watch this thread for updates as this mission is still in the planning stages.
