Dean Eddy (rdeddy@comcast.net) will be the temporary RCIC for this Mission of Honor, assisted by PA ASC Barry Bioni and WV ASC Buddy Palla.

As of this time, no new information is available pertaining to Julian's return to West Virginia.  This is not expected to take place until mid-week, at the earliest.

Interment will not be in a cemetery but, rather, a family plot located on Fisher's Lane of Benwood Hills Road, Benwood, WV.  Area will be scouted but preliminary indications are that access to this area is via roughly paved road.

Please continue monitoring this thread for updates as they become available.

Respects,

Joe

This is now a confirmed mission!  Communication with CACO today indicates Julian's family would welcome PGR participation in both his return home from Dover AFB and the day of his final services, dates for both of which are unknown at this time.

At the present time, all that is known for certain is he will be returning via Kalitta Airlines.  If permission can be obtained, he will be returned to Wheeling Ohio County Airport.  If not, he will be returned to Pittsburgh International Airport.  Either way, PGR WILL participate in honoring him as he returns home.

Funeral services will be held at the Grisell Funeral Home and Crematory, 400 Jefferson Avenue, Moundsville, WV  26041 (http://tinyurl.com/ygox3w8).

Interment will be in a family lot located on Benwood Hills.

RC assignment to be determined/announced as soon as possible.

Please continue to monitor thread for updates and make every effort to assist as we prepare to honor another of our own who has made the ultimate sacrifice for YOUR freedom and liberties.

Respects,

Joe

I send my heartfelt condolences to the family of Julian L Berisford; it is so sad when one so young is taken from us, however, bravery and sacrifice know no age. Please know your loved one is a hero in the hearts of true patriots all across America. Many of our citizens will never know the sacrifices made by those who defend our freedoms, or the sacrifices made by their families and loved ones…as a veteran, I know. Jesus said, “Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends”. Though I did not know Julian personally, his sacrifice and service to the United States of America makes him my “friend”. God be with you.
