CONFIRMED MISSION Leonard Tatro, US Army, Veteran The family of Leonard Tatro, US Army Veteran, has requested the presence and participation of the Patriot Guard Riders in the procession and memorial of their loved one on Monday, 9 Nov 09. "Lenny" was an avid biker, and had a 28-year career working on them for A-1 Cycles in Killeen. His widow, Sandra has asked for a major bike escort for her and her family from the A-1 Cycles on Rancier to the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery. She has asked that the Patriot Guard Riders lead this procession. The Blue Knights have volunteered their services to secure the procession route and MANY other bikers will be participating, to include Lenny's son, Andy.
Date: Monday, 9 Nov 09
Staging Location: A-1 Cycles in Killeen, located on the NW corner of Rancier & 8th Street, between the Taco Bell and the Oriental Kitchens. We will be staging in A-1's parking lot behind the Oriental Kitchens. Access is from both Rancier and 8th Street. The PGR will stage separate from all other riders, so look for Marebear in the back of the parking lot. She will show you where to park.
Staging Time: 1230
Briefing: 1245
KSU: 1300
For those able to attend only the Cemetery portion:
Staging Location: the "T" intersection after the Memorial Shelter near the Columbarium at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery. Staging Time: 1230 Establish Flagline: 1245
WX: Partly cloudy, high of 77 F, 20% chances of rain
Notes: After the Memorial at the Columbarium, Mrs Tatro and family will proceed to the Walk of Heroes to scatter Leonard's ashes.
Please let us join together to honor this Veteran and fellow biker.
RC: Roberto "GatoNegro" Brunet; (254) 681-6716 cell Assistant RC: Rob "LawDog" Carothers; (254) 223-2507 Cemetery RC/Flag Wrangler: Dave "MarineMajor" Dunn |
