Our sincere condolences to the family and friends of Elmer Jenson, USN, WWII and Korean War Veteran. May God help you though this difficult time and sorrow. He is one of America's Heroes that will never be forgotten.

Rest Safely and Securely in God's Loving Arms, Elmer.

Going home, going home,
I'm just going home.
Quiet-like, slip away-
I'll be going home.
It's not far, just close by;
Jesus is the Door;
Work all done, laid aside,
Fear and grief no more.
Friends are there, waiting now.
He is waiting, too.
See His smile! See His hand!
He will lead me through.

Morning Star lights the way;
Restless dream all done;
Shadows gone, break of day,
Life has just begun.
Every tear wiped away,
Pain and sickness gone;
Wide awake there with Him!
Peace goes on and on!
Going home, going home,
I'll be going home.
See the Light! See the Sun!
I'm just going home.

Mission Report
Elmer M. Jensen 7/1/2009

Today myself and 11 others stood in proud honor of Elmer M Jensen. Mr.
Jensen at the young age of 17 entered WWII and was Honorably Discharged
then put himself in harms way as he enlisted into the Army to serve in
Korea.

This is a day that his loving family will remember as the Patriot Guard
who rode then stood silently in drizzly overcast day to show Honor,
Dignity and Respect to an American Hero, a Husband, Father, Grandfather,
Great Grandfather and Great Great Grandfather and friend to many.

The family was welcomed to the church with a corridor of flags, and when
they exited the church the flags that gave a deserving background as
they transferred Mr. Jenson from the Caisson into the Hearse. The
Patriot Guard flanked the hearse for a short distance and then silently
mounted their Motorcycles. While waiting for the family to stage for the
procession the Patriot Guard dismounted and faced the family until they
were ready to depart. Once everyone was mounted a procession was lead to
a quite and peaceful resting place in the country so fitting for Mr.
Jensen.

Mr. Jensen received full Military Honors provided by the Cannon Falls, MN V.F.W. With the Gun
Volleys and Taps sounded. The American flag was folded with care
and presented Mrs. Jensen.

The Patriot Guard stood ever so silent only to hear the flags flapping
until the last of the family had departed.

I knew Elmer well and I know he was smiling knowing that people that he
never met took time out of their lives to honor him and comfort the
family.

Elmer you may now Stand Down, we now have the watch.
