Our sincere condolences to the family and friends of George W. Knapp, WWII Veteran. May God help you though this difficult time and sorrow. He is one of America's Heroes that will never be forgotten.

Rest Safely and Securely in God's Loving Arms, George.

Going home, going home,
I'm just going home.
Quiet-like, slip away-
I'll be going home.
It's not far, just close by;
Jesus is the Door;
Work all done, laid aside,
Fear and grief no more.
Friends are there, waiting now.
He is waiting, too.
See His smile! See His hand!
He will lead me through.

Morning Star lights the way;
Restless dream all done;
Shadows gone, break of day,
Life has just begun
Every tear wiped away,
Pain and sickness gone;
Wide awake there with Him!
Peace goes on and on!
Going home, going home,
I'll be going home.
See the Light! See the Sun!
I'm just going home.

MISSION ACCOMPLISHED. It was a true honor to stand the flag for Capt. George Knapp, who ministered to his flock for more than 60 years. His remarkable career began before D-Day when he was wounded at Normandy on June 4, 1944, and continued throughout the decades. He was awarded the Purple Heart, 5 bronze stars and a bronze arrowhead. and received countless civilian honors. His family was extremely gracious and expressed their thanks for our presence. They also told us about the significance of number 14 - Capt. Knapp born on the 14th, married on the 14th and 14 was his favorite number. His son confided that they had considered asking for a flag line of 14 PGR members so when 14 of us showed up to honor Capt. Knapp, the family felt it was a special sign. We offer the family and friends out sincerest condolences on the loss of this very special man. Capt. Knapp - Thank you for your service. May you rest in peace.
