On behalf of the family of Troy Schultz, thank you for being at his service yesterday in Pelican Rapids.

I have read about you, have seen you on TV, but until you are actually at a funeral that you support & protect, a person doesn't realize what an effect you have on so many. My husband, who has ALS and in a wheelchair, our two sons and myself walked through the canopy of American flags and felt the love & support from all of you. We told our sons that you do this for every fallen soldier and you do it out of love and respect to so many. What a lesson for our sons and what a beautiful reminder of what the USA stands for.

God bless you all for the work that you do. I hope you know what an impact you have on so many people as they go through these very difficult times. Troy was smiling down on you and knowing him, thanking you through his tears for protecting his family & friends. He was such a wonderful young man.

Again, God's blessings to you all.

Dear Member of the Patriot Guard,

Please accept our heartfelt thanks for the respect and honor you gave Col.
Barton George.
You provided our family with such comfort and support as you met us at the
plane, participated at the memorial service and at the graveside dedication.
Thank you for the way in which you honor our dedicated members of the
military.

I was one of the men you joined over Veteran's Day at the 187th Assault Helicopter Association's wreath laying at the Illinois Vietnam Memorial. I want to thank you again for being there. Your ringing our group with flags made the ceremony seem like a homecoming as well as a memorial ceremony. I shook hands with most of your group...but missed a few---please accept this as my personal thanks to everyone for being there. You certainly helped me heal a bit more.

To the Patriot Guards of America and Fallen Hero families

We lost our brother Sgt Julian Arechaga USMC 1st Battalion 6th Marines infantry Charlie company on oct 9, 2006 In Iraq on his third tour of duty. We had asked the Patriot Riders to attend funeral services for Julian and they came out strong with their Motorcycles and their colors all of them displaying the American Flag high. What an awesome display of patriotism. For other families out there do not hesitate to call the Gaurds.Their presence is an unbelievable display of honor and respect for the fallen and their families. They work with the local Police department Fire department and Community to give a great honorable escort and protection for you and your Fallen Hero. And let me tell you our Town of Baldwin New York stopped and watched as this Army of Patriot Guards Lead our funeral precession down the street a sight I will never forget. And that was not all, at the cemetery they formed a great circle surrounding our Marines Funeral holding their flags high. They were very respectful of distance and space so we can mourn our Marine at the same time their eyes were on watch to protect us from protesters, the Guards were standing silent with their flags held high. These Patriot guards feel our pain and held our hands through one of the toughest times of our lives. After we Laid our hero to rest a few weeks went by and on Nov 11,2006 Veterans Day we joined Our American Legion in town for services for the Veterans of all wars. Lo and behold the Patriot Guard Riders were there standing with their flags held high, by our side again. Tears ran down my face when I saw them . They were there displaying their awesome respect and presenting us with a Plaque for Julian our Fallen Marine and his service to his country. We hugged and thanked all the Patriot Guards at the American Legion in Baldwin New York that day. They are the most sincere Heartfelt respectful men I have ever met in my life and I know Julian was watching from above thanking all of them for being there for us. As Julian was Dedicated to his country and giving his life for it, the Patriot Guard Riders are dedicated to honoring Julian and his family and protecting them.
We cannot have one without the other.

Thank you guys

God bless all of you ( It is what we do in life that will last forever )

RIDE ON PATRIOT GUARD RIDERS !!! YOUR COUNTRY NEEDS YOU!!!

Dear PGR members:

We are the parents of Michelle Kane, SSG Joseph Kane's wife. We want to express our never ending gratitude for the wonderful way you honored Joey from the moment he arrived at SeaTac to his final resting place at Sunset Lane. The streets and church lined with flags was an impressive sight and helped fulfill Michelle's wish to see Joey honored as the hero we believed him to be. The love and compassion you showed for our daughter and grandchildren was also overwhelming and much appreciated. We hope you know that we feel you are all heroes as well and were honored to have the opportunity to meet some of you personally. May God continue to bless each one of you as you continue to honor our fallen heroes. Looking for the day when your services will no longer be needed.

Thank you so much, Mike & Cheryl French

I would just like to say thank you to all your members from my whole family... You guys are Awesome... I live in Cody, Wyoming

And on that note, I heard about his so called church that protests soldiers funerals and I also heard that you guys ride along to let your motorcycles drown out their BS... YEE HAWW... Wish I had a bike...I did got to their site and told them what I thought of their racist, neo-Nazi site..

Thanks again,

Dear Friends ~

On September 20, 2006 our lives were forever changed. Our son, Christopher Michael Zimmerman, SSgt., USMC made the ultimate sacrifice by giving his life in support and defense of his country. Our country. A country that truly is the land of the free, and blessed beyond any other nation on earth. Chris made the concious choice to become a United States Marine. He knew the risks and accepted that responsibility. He embraced his duty to God and Country. He excelled in motivating and training the men assigned to him. He loved them just as much as he loved us, and they loved him back, almost as much as we did. He died a hero, fighting side by side with his team, upholding his belief that democracy is a precious freedom, never to be taken for granted.

It is our hope that his sacrifice will never be forgotten, and that each of you will continue to celebrate his memory. Let us never forget or take for granted the sacrifice made by this young Marine, and those brothers- and- sisters -in-arms that have gone before, and those that shall ultimately follow after, as well as those who have fought the battles and returned home injured, nevermore to have the luxury of a "normal" life. Our right to vote is a freedom which has been secured for us by the same sacrifice as the one made by Chris and many of his fellow service members. Our duty, as Americans, is to carry forth from these heroes the lessons of honor, courage, commitment, and respect. Complacency has no role in guarding the memories of the men and women who have fought to keep America free.

Many amazing things have happened since Chris' death. We feel as though each of you has come to know him in some way. The outpouring of love, honor and respect for Chris, and ultimately for all of our service men and women, has humbled us. The renewed sense of patriotism, which can gauged by the new flags that have been placed at the homes and businesses of many of our friends and neighbors, has made us proud! One of the defining moments that stands out in our hearts was when we arrived at the funeral home after receiving our son at the airport. Amidst the hundreds of smaller flags that surrounded the funeral home, two young women were waving large American flags so proudly to welcome this hero home to safe ground. They were joined by so many of you who were there also to say "Thank you" to a Marine for a job well done. As it was written centuries ago, "all things come together for good". Our community has come together as one to grieve for the loss of a son and a brother, and yet at the same time share in the celebration of the life of a young man who lived to the fullest, bringing out the best in everyone he met.

Throughout this difficult time, the love and support that has been shown to our family cannot be described as anything other than overwhelming. Each and every one of you has helped make a difference in our lives. Your prayers have enabled us to get through each day in order to go on to the next one. Many of you may have heard us tell of the "cloud of peace" that came to us within hours of learning of Chris' death. That peace remains with us still, as many of you continue to lift us up in prayer, and for that we are truly grateful. Without all of you and your prayers, we would not be able to cope with our loss.

As life moves on and everyone returns to their new normal routine, please know that the family of SSgt. Christopher M. Zimmerman, USMC remains grateful to the many, many friends who came together as one community to celebrate the life of a young man who taught us all how to live life with honor and with humility, leading by example, and putting others before himself. God Bless you all, and may you always keep his memory in your heart.

Sincerely,

Faith Zimmerman

Dear Guard,

Troy Nealey was a student of mine at Eaton Rapids High School. He was also a friend. Your show of support to his family, our community and selfishly to me, was awesome. All of you standing with flags at attention outside the school gym, brought the first tears of the day to me. I thought I had no more to shed. Your commitment to this cause was a great tribute to Troy. He was a fine young man and as fun as all of you have heard. Please keep up the great service to these fallen hero's. I would like to make a contribution to your organization. If someone could write me back and indicate how this could be done, I would be thankful.

Thank you,

Ben Gellis

Patriot Guard Riders,

I wanted to express my sincerest appreciation to each and every member of this patriotic organization for going over and above the call of duty to show respect to fallen heroes, their beloved families, and their dearest friends. You recently visited the funeral of L/Cpl Troy. D. Nealey of Eaton Rapids, MI, and our community welcomed you with open arms. It was a powerful feeling as we entered the funeral and walked through your flag draped tunnel. We remember looking at your faces, and we saw nothing but pain, love, respect, and honor. Your conduct speaks volumes of your character, and we were honored to have you attend Troy's funeral. So to all of the Patriot Guard Riders, please recognize our sincerest appreciation, may the good Lord bless each and every one of you, and may you continue to ride on because America is worth it!

This past weekend I attended the services for a fallen friend and classmate, LTC Paul Finken. It was a difficult weekend, filled with many fond memories of Paul, combined with the harsh reality that his loving wife and three beautiful little girls would not see him again. The outpouring of support from his family, friends, and the local community were tremendous. That certainly helped ease some of the strain. But what I am writing you about is the absolute dedication, unwavering support, and love of country that the Patriot Guard represents. I was bursting with pride to know the group of individuals who participated were doing so not because they knew Paul, but out of respect for him and what his sacrifice meant to the people of this great country. I say great country and it is people like the Patriot Guard that make it a great county. I felt safe and secure knowing that your group would make sure no one was going to interfere with the solemn task of laying a fallen soldier to rest. Knowing that there are organizations like yours out there make me proud to be an American. I salute you, and I know that LTC Paul Finken salutes you from above.

Thank you to each and every member and "rider" who give of their time and money to protect military families as they lay to rest a loved one who has died for our wonderful country.

My husband will retire next year after over 30 years of military service. He is a Florida Guardsman. In 2005, he wanted to go to Afghanistan and Iraq and volunteered. We were fortunate.... his tour was on 4 months and he came home safe and sound.

I simply cannot understand the protests .... but I understand the pride and patriotism of our military. This past weekend we saw a news report about the Patriot Guard and our eyes misted and our hearts swelled as we felt pride and gratitude for you all.

Thank you. God bless you, and God bless America.

Hi folks...

I just wanted to tell you that I took my grandson to the Veterans day parade
Saturday here in Charlotte NC...We saw your group come down the street and
for my grandson you were just a bunch of neat looking people on motorcycles
but to me you were a group of folks that caught my attention and I wanted to
know more about you....Then on Sunday I was reading on the pontoon boat
forum that I'm a member of and there was a posting about your group and of
course that caught my eye also....I've never heard of you and the fact that
you were in our parade and on the pontoon forum got me thinking that this
was worth investigating....I'm still reading and finding out more about you
and your brothers and sisters and I keep getting a little emotional reading
about the good that you guys do....God knows that this world needs more like
you and yours....Upon leaving the parade I overheard one of your members
asking another member how to get back on Hwy 74 from where they were and had
I known about your organization and it's wonderful mission I would have
gladly led you member out of town and on his way and if he had had the time
I would have loved to have bought him a nice lunch before he headed
out....You folks are doing a wonderful service to mankind and after reading
about you, I've come to realize that those bikes of yours are tiny in size
compared to your hearts !....Ride safe and keep up the good work....I'm
giving thought to contacting your contact person here in Carolina and seeing
if I could be of service to you also...What else has a retired granddad of
57 years of age got to do that would be any more worthwhile than helping you
be of service to families that have felt the tragic lost as those that you
serve?...I do drive a pick up truck so I suppose I could carry gear and even
pull a trailer or something....I've ridden bikes for many years in the past
but haven't now for years and to be honest I feel better in my truck now
days ...lol lol....

Keep up the good mission..

Dear Patriot Guard Riders,
I would like to extend to you all my deepest and
most heartfelt thanks. You all make those of us who are serving overseas and
back at home feel appreciated. Your unwavering support and service to the
Nation both as PGR and prior service members are valued by myself and others
with whom I serve. I personally am finishing my second tour in Iraq. There
are no words to fully express the gratitude I feel for your organization. I
have lost several friends since the beginning of The War on Terrorism and I
have been able to find comfort in knowing that your organization will be
there to allow the families of my friends the peace of mind they deserve.
Your organization truely shows the spirit and patriotism of Americans.
Continue the great work you outstanding Americans are doing. It is
appreciated, tremendously.

Sincerely,

Dear Sirs -

I just wanted to drop you a quick note to express my sincere appreciation for what you all do. I was stationed in Rock Island, Illinois for three years and knew Petty Officers Gary Rovinski and Jerry Tharp very well. After I transferred in early 2005 I lost touch with them (as military service is apt to do), and when I found out they’d been killed in Iraq it really hit home. I found your site recently and browsing through saw pictures of my shipmates’ funerals -- you guys really did a great job. I have nothing but contempt for the "Americans" who protest the funeral of one of our own -- though we serve to ensure they have that right -- but knowing that you all are there to keep the peace and ensure the families of the fallen can have a decent, respectful service for their loved one without the distraction the delusions of those protestors is really a loving, patriotic gesture.

You have my deepest, most sincere appreciation for what you provide for our fallen comrades. The Patriot Guard are true American patriots and I salute you. I’d be proud to serve with you anytime, anywhere.

Very Respectfully,

I just read an article in a small local paper written by Russ Talbott of Powers Lake, WI. The article as you can probably guess was about the Patriot Guard Riders. I am not ashamed to say that I cried while reading it. The fact that we even need the Patriot Guard to shield the families of our fallen soldiers hurts me more than I can say. I can not fathom how anyone can be so heartless as to cause further pain for anyone who has lost a loved one, let alone one who died serving their country. I was also filled with such pride knowing that there are still so many Americans who go the extra mile to do the right thing, to protect those in need.

I am so touched by the acts of kindness the Patriot Guard has given to so many. I wish I was able to travel so I could join and stand with you, proudly supporting the families of our fallen service men and women. These families have suffered the loss of a loved one, they deserve to know just how thankful true Americans. Unfortunately, due to work and family, I can rarely travel and then it's only if it's within a few hours of home. I work full time, have a teenage daughter and also help out in animal rescue... currently, 8 dogs and 20 cats rely on me to be here every day to take care of them... I did however want you to know that while I am not able to stand with you shielding and supporting the families, I am with you in sprit.

Thank you so much for all you do. Bless each and every member for doing a job that shouldn't need to be done. May every member of our armed forces and their families be touched by God and soon be reunited.

Sincerely

Penny Stimpert (Wolfkitten)

I have made a point to read about each of the fallen soldiers fighting for our freedom recently. In many instances I see your organization riding and supporting the families of the fallen. I just wanted to thank you for taking the time to do such a noble thing. These young men and women have given all, and their families deserve to see that the sacrifice they have made is not in vain.

You've renewed my faith in people, just as these soldiers have...

Thanks,

Hi Steve,

Wow, I don't even know where to start. This has been such an emotional time for the Salyer family anyway, but when we pulled up to the light at highway 169 yesterday and we seen you guys rolling up to the red light, we were all completely overwhelmed. The flags that everyone held at the entrance of the church was also overwhelming. It was a bit of feeling unworthy to even walk thru. I cannot even tell you the emotions we all felt. What you and all of the Patriot Guard Riders that were there yesterday did, cannot even be expressed in words. I cannot even begin to tell you how your kindness, your presence, your honor and respect has touched the Salyer family. I don't think any of us truly knew what it would mean to have the Patriot Guard there yesterday, or could have even imagined how overwhelming and how touched we would all be. We appreciate all of you, and will be forever changed because of you. We pray God's richest blessings upon the Patriot Guard and its members. Thank you Steve, you are truly are a blessing, and will never be forgotten.

I also read your ride report last night, and was moved to tears. Thank you so much for your kind words. As with your presence yesterday, we truly felt that you were honored to be there, and can only hope that you know how much you are appreciated, respected and how honored we were that you were there. I know I can't say it enough, but, Thank You.

Steve, thanks again for all you have done for our family.

Sincerely,

Carol Salyer

I would like to take a moment to thank your organization for the incredible showing at the funeral of the fallen hero in Jacksonville, Fl. In society today there are many who think it is their right to voice opposition to everything we as citizens find honorable. In such instances, such as laying to rest of al fallen hero, it is time to pay respects to the family, NOT leave them with images of conflict and dishonor. It is with the utmost respect that I send along my thanks to your organization for ensuring the family is presented with the honor and dignity it should encounter during the time of grief. Having served in the US Navy for many years I stand tall and render a heartfelt salute to all the members of your organization. The name of the organization tells it all - RESPECT for our fallen heroes.

My most sincere thanks to you,

Hank Cowart

Thank you to each of you for your leadership, with a special "Thanks!" to the Patriot Guard founders who saw a need and found a way to fill it. You're ALL doing a SUPER job.

I can't begin to imagine how time-consuming, and sometimes perplexing, it must be to organize the different threads at the PGR website. I do miss being able to go to the SC thread to find out if there is a possible mission coming up that I need to be aware of.

Saw where Pfc Cody Warren of Calhoun, GA was on the Watch List & is being buried tomorrow. Because he wasn't listed as a Confirmed Mission, I guess the family must not want the PGR at the services tomorrow???

Again thank you VERY much for all your hard work,

Glorya Jordan (aka "Grammy")

Yesterday, I attended the funeral of a very young Marine in San Antonio, Texas. I know the Marine's family, but did not know him personally. I did, however, spend 20 years at the rank of Marine's wife which defintely brought this situation home. The funeral was beautiful (seems a strange word). God was glorified, the Marine, his country and his corps were honored.

I must say to you, when I rounded the corner and saw your flag line I almost lost all control of my emotions. I cannot thank you enough! Your presence there and the many flags blowing in the November wind demanded an atmosphere of silent respect. The atmosphere you create is one of a big brother/sister or a mom or dad wrapping his/her arms around a hurting child bringing safety and assurance that everything will be okay. I truly believe attitudes were changed at the sight of your deep respect for this solemn event.

THANK YOU AND GOD BLESS YOU!

Kevin & all Patriot Guard Riders:
I don’t even know where to begin to let you know my gratitude for the
wonderful showing of pride, honor, dignity, and respect that the Patriot
Guard Riders showed on behalf of my son-in-law, SSG Clint J. Storey and
family. I am very thankful for the presence of the Patriot Guard
Riders at both services in Enid, Oklahoma on August 16, 2006 and in
Palmer, Massachusetts on August 26, 2006. I say from my heart that I was
extremely touched by the dedication of the Patriot Guard Riders in both
missions to give their "all" in honoring Clint. I know everyone gave of
their time to make sure that the memory of my son-in-law and my family
were protected and treated with such respect and dignity. Thank you for
being a special group of people!!!
My son-in-law was looking down with a big smile, I’m sure.
God Bless You and Yours,

I truly would like to Thank everyone who took a part in C.J. SGT Charles John McClain mission. This was something very new to me, as I was only informed about the guard from my brother Terry. To see the men and women who took time away from their families to be here today. What a wonderful selfless act you have all taken for a family you knew nothing about. No words will ever thank you enough for the special day that was given to C.J. on his last journey before being laid to rest with our Father. It was also a great pleasure to have a blanket from the many veterans, who like C.J. would have had given themselves for this great nation.

I will be forever grateful

I am the widow of Captain Joe Prock, the firefighter who was murdered on April 1st of this year. I wanted to say thank you to all of you for your prayers and sympathy for our family and other fellow firefighters. It has not been an easy road for any of us. It is hard for my kids to talk about it and I can truly understand why.

As for myself...I am sad and lonely and I miss him terribly. I wish I could feel his arms around me one more time but I know that's not possible so I ask God to help me take it a day at a time. There is so much to do here that sometimes it seems overwhelming but God will get us through this...I have faith that He will!

God bless you and I love you all,

Sheryl Prock "Sherry"

Lakeshore Military Family Support Group
Marine Corps League, Det. 1047

Dear Brothers,

I am glad to see that the Patriot Guard has been contacted for the funeral of LCpl. John M. Armendariz, USMC, my Marine Mom Sister's only son. Rita Armendariz and I both have sons in the Marine Corps. Both of our sons' names is Jonny... hers: John, mine: Sgt. Jonathan.

Rita and I go way back and from the first time we emailed and then met each other face-to-face, have been Sisters of the deepest sort. I helped her to get a Spanish-Speaking Marine Moms Support group started in Cali. It has been going strong and Rita has given so much to this group and her community.

Thank you so very much for being there for her and her family.

On another note: I am not sure why, but I misplaced my user name and my password to log in on the Patriot Guard site.

Is this something you can help me with??

Sincerely,

Chaplain Linda L. Zoerhof

I just want to say what a great job I think you guys are all doing. I can't understand why protestors behave in such a disgraceful manner, I bet if god forbid America was invaded by an enemy those same people would want the military to protect them. If protectors turned up and protested at one of their family members funeral they wouldn't like it one bit. I think it is disgraceful that they call them selves Americans.

Thank goodness here in Australia we don't have that sort of behaviour, I lost my husband in 1969 in Vietnam he was serving with the American Army 125th Helicopers.

Keep up the good work and God bless you all

Gloria

PGR,

I cannot begin to express my gratitude and appreciation for your recent
efforts at the funeral for Deputy David Briese of the Yellowstone
County Sheriff's Office in Montana. Despite cold, wet, miserable
weather you were there in force, carrying the flag, and standing your
posts without wavering. As a law enforcement officer, I'm am not given
to public displays of emotion, but your demonstration of respect,
caring, and honor, without any regard for your personal comfort or
time, moved me deeply. I always thought that the bagpipes and the final
radio check were hard to get through at the funerals for my fallen
comrades. Now, your display and efforts are one more. Not for sadness,
but for the pride and humility your dedication fill me with.

Thanks to one and all of the Patriot Guard. It appeared that many of
the PGR there were also former vets. What an honor it is to have
individuals who have already put it all on the line for their country,
along with regular citizens who could have been warm and comfortable at
home, make such an effort. You are all the very essence of what it is
to be American patriots, caring citizens, and you are the true
heartbeat of America. It is my hope to continue to serve you as well as
you have sacrificed for and honored my fallen law enforcement friends
and the fallen soldiers of our country.

Drive on PGR, Drive on.....

I am awe-inspired by the mission of your organization. My full respect to all of you, what you mean, and what you stand for. I salute any individual, regardles or race, creed or color, that stands for his/her country. Everyone in our great country needs to see the patriotism that you present to all you encounter, and the total respect you show to the veterans that have given us the freedoms we love. Our country would be a much better place if we all remembered the sacrifices of those before us.

Please keep up what you do.

With respect and honor,

Christopher Frye

To Mark and all of you that escorted our son home on 11/9/06,

There is no words that can describe the emotions that we felt when we seen the busses pulling into the Vineyard church with all of you and some of our finest State Troopers and Police Officers escorting our nations bravest men home. We hope that all of your future missions include the kind of weather that the good lord blessed us with on that day. God bless all of you and may he deliver you all home safe after all of your missions.

Sincerely,

The Mother & Father of

Sgt. Billy Barnett

Our 21 year old son is an Army private, currently stationed at Ft. Benning, Ga., with a probable deployment date of June, 2007. We go to sleep every night praying we will wake up in the morning not having to worry anymore about needing the comfort you all provide to so many families; then the morning comes and we say a prayer of thanksgiving that you are still there to continue to provide that comfort.

Till that bright morning when we all wake to peace on earth, God bless you all. May He keep you in the palm of his hand.

Thank you for your service to us all,

Chrissy and Steve Dunn

My name is Keely and I am a 19 year old Jacksonvile native. I was listening to the Bill Haft show tonight and I wanted to thank you for what you do for the families of fallen HEROES. I wish I could be there in Jacksonville tomorrow to pay my respects to the Calloway family. You are a group of wonderful people and I really respect what you do.

11/10/06

it is so refreshing to see an amazing effort that is not exclusionary or partisan...you have so many that appreciate your efforts that are coming from all walks of life...and for once we can agree that someone is doing something thoughtful and noble...from liberals to conservatives...from straights to gays...from service families to civilians...from men to women...from adults to children...from black to white...from Christian to Jew to Muslim to Buddhist...from all of America to you ....THANK YOU....ks...nashville, tn

Thanks to all of you for doing such a great job. Also thanks to all of you that are veterans from any war. We're proud of you too. Thanks for a job well done.

I just recently learned about your organization. What you do is just wonderful and so self sacrificing! It's great to know that there are those that still care about our country, servicemen and servicewomen. My son is recovering from his third surgery due to wounds suffered in Afghanistan as an Army Ranger. He is also a bike rider. Don't be suprised if you hear from him wanting to join your organization when he's fully recovered. Again, I just wanted to say thanks for what you do. You may not always hear how much it's appreciated, but know that it is.

Sincerely,

Etta Menke

To Whom It May Concern:

My name is Andrew Bliss a college student at the University of
Alabama. I recently saw today a story about the Patriot Guard on Fox
News and the mission that your members serve. I simply wanted to
write and say that I feel the service that you are providing has got
to be one of the most noble causes I have ever heard of. Watching
your story and listening to your interviews made me feel proud to be a
citizen of this country again and feel that there is hope and good
people still out there amongst those that lack decency and common
sense. I wish all of the members of your organization the absolute
best of luck in life and hope that you can continue your mission for
years to come. I regret being in college that I have not the money to
donate to your cause, but I did want to let you know that there are
those in this country, that even though we are not directly affected
by your actions have nothing but a great respect and sincere thanks
for what you do.

Thanks,
Andrew Bliss

I am a soldier currently serving in Iraq for the second time. I have to tell you the biggest thing that burdens my mind is the welfare of my family, despite all the violence i encounter on a daily basis. It is very reassuring to know that I have such great support in my home while I am fighting a war away in a foreign country. I can't thank you all enough for all the support you provide us and our families. On behalf of everyone and our families in 18 Engineer Company 3/2 Stryker Briigade Combat Team Thank you, and keep up the great work...

Dear Patriot Guard Members,

I just saw you and your mission on Fox News and I had to write you this note. I am neither a veteran nor am I closely related to one but somehow I can't help but feel an attachment of both love and pride for all our young men and women in uniform. That said, I also can't help but feel some of the pain that comes when we lose one of these selfless heroes but I guess that goes with being counted as part of this family we lovingly call America. So it is right that we hold out our highest respect for those who have given their lives in order to protect their 'family' and so we honor them. That you would, in your own unique manner, make the effort you have to see they receive this honor shows that you too have this great love for the 'family'. Thank you for what you are doing and for those in your organization who have served, I thank you for your service and I hope that this note, little as it is, communicates how I honor all of your service as well. God bless you and your work and may you ride safe.

Very Respectfully Yours,

Rev. Paul Oxner

Assistant Priest,

Just saw a piece about ya’ll on FOXNews; didn’t even know you existed until then. As a current active duty Air Force member, I thank each of you and your organization for your actions. You hear, so often, "I/We support the troops." Well, pardon the cliché, but actions speak louder than words. Though not a rider, I am joining your organization.

Very Respectfully,

Andy Shelton

11/10/06

Thank you for organizing and providing this wonderful support for all troops. I am a great-gramma and do not think I should take up Harley riding at this late date, but my heart will ride with you.

Thanks. MotherHen145

To all Patriot Guard Riders,

On Monday, November the 8th 2006, you helped me lay my Brother at
Arms to rest in Garden City KS. Thank you. During the ceremony as I folded
the American Flag for his mother, in the background I could hear over a
hundred American Flags ripping through the wind. Standing proudly united,
you surrounded both the church and the graveside ceremony with your flag
poles in hand. Your presence was key in demonstrating that Sgt Algrim's
family was not alone, his passing was a loss to his Family, his Country, and
his Corps. With the memory of folding Sgt Algrim's and many other Flags, I
will never forget that our Families, our Country, and our Corps share the
burden of sacrifice, for Freedom.

You represent the pride of a Great Nation.

Semper Fidelis,
Gunnery Sergeant Dersch

Words can not express my thanks to the Patriot Gaurd. We held a fund raiser for The American Legion from Donora, PA on November 4, 2006 as they had no funds for a Veteran's Day Parade and were going to cancel it all together. In our small town of Eighty Four, PA you will pass by a small insurance company called "Kass Insurance" we managed to raise $1400.00 in about 4 hours.

It was an Honor to have you at our event.

Though it was such short notice y'all managed to send a wonderful couple who was a retired Marine (that is what he showed me on his jacket-so I hope I am getting this correct). I did not realize who I was talking to until my mother informed me that it was the Patriot Gaurd. A HUGE grin came across my face and all that I could say was "WOW That's Great!" I did get to comment on the gentleman's motorcycle vest, as it was black and decorated with many patches and pins-It Looked GREAT!

The word is- This is going to be the best Veteran's Day Parade that Donora, PA has ever had and I am really looking forward to attending on Saturday the 11th. Once again it is going to be a Honor as my father is a Vietnam Vet. and my older brother is a Veteran of Bosnia, Macedonia, and Iraq and is still active in the Military.

Thanks again for being who you are!!

Sincerely,

Marcy Tunney

May the soul of Sgt. Willsun M. Mock rest in peace and may the angels in Heaven escort him to his real home, Heaven, where there will be no pain, problems, sorrow, fear and the unknowns of this world. Sgt. Willsun Mock will forever experience God's presence of peace and love and total happiness. May that peace and love also flow down from Heaven and rest with the family of Sgt. Mock, and on the birthday of the Marine Corps on 11-10-2006, and Veterans Day being tomorrow, 11-11-2006 be assured of the prayers of thousands of Americans thanking Sgt. Willsun Mock for his many sacrifices, even death, so that all current and future Americans would have a chance of securing permanent peace. Helping to establish a lasting peace was his goal in life. He took pride in helping a people who he did not know, but they needed help and he was always more than happy to be able to make sacrifices in order to make the lives of many better.

I wish the family peace of mind knowing that they are not alone. Thousands are praying for him and he will always be remembered by all peoples in our prayers and our love for him. I never met Sgt. Mock or his family, nor have thousands of others who are praying for him this morning. However, we were brothers in Christ and my having served in the US Army during the Vietnam conflict as a buck Sgt. as they use to call us at the time, we were also brothers in arms fighting to keep the peace in the world. So, Sgt. Mock had thousands of brothers and sisters who proudly wore the uniform and they are all praying on this day for the repose of Sgt. Mock's soul and the souls of thousands of other men and women who have died or been seriously injured in battle.

It's high time to recognize these heroes. Men and Women who put themselves in harms way 24/7 in order that we may have a safe, free and peaceful country. May God Bless all the men and women in uniform on this Veterans Day 2006 and may God Bless all of us as well.

Marcel A. Bertrand, former Army Sgt. 1967-1970 (Korea)

Good morning friends!

I just wanted to drop a line to thank your members one and all for
the incredible service you are doing through the Patriot Guard. I
just saw the news spot on our local channel in Portland Oregon about
your organization.

This dedication to our soldiers and families is one of the most
selfless acts of kindness I have ever seen. You truly are all
"champions" for our country and the men and women who serve to
protect it!!!

With great appreciation,

Thank you for all the effort you put into making sure that no sacrifice
goes unnoticed or unappreciated. Far too many times the service men and
women and there families have been left to wonder if anyone really cared
about what they were going through.Your group should reassure them that
they are not forgotten or unappreciated . Thank You so much and God

To The Patriot Guard,

I had no idea you existed until I lost my nephew, Staff Sgt. Ryan Haupt. His wife arranged his service to be held in Elmhurst, Ill. I can’t thank you enough for the great dignity and awesomeness you added to that very emotional event for his family and his friends. Ryan was only 24 and married only 4 months so the impact of this fallen hero’s death was huge. Your presence and the great respect that you not only brought to the event but guarded for that event moved us all. I could not let your dedicated mission go unacknowledged as it so moved me.

Thank you so much!

God bless you,

Hi,

I had never heard of you guys until my friend's son appeared in your "photo
of the day" on November 9, 2006. I read over your mission statement and
browsed around on you site and I can't even begin to say thank you, what you
are doing is means so much to all of us. My husband is also deployed in
Iraq and knowing how much he is supported, really helps when the times get
tough back home.

Thank you.

Thank you very much for your kind and thoughtful note following Dave Taylor’s funeral on 2 November – I appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts. As I told you that day, it is the support and consent of the American people that enables and encourages us, the men and women in uniform, to continue to fight this very important and critical fight for the future of our country and the values/freedoms we cherish. Without the support of the American people we cannot be successful.

I believe the results of the elections on Tuesday and Mr. Bush’s announcement yesterday concerning the leadership of the DoD will certainly bring about changes in U.S. policy and strategy for the Global War on Terrorism, particularly in Iraq. I sincerely hope the politicians will work in a constructive bipartisan way on behalf of the American people and our Nation. If they continue the mean spirited partisan politics, we all lose and the insidious evil forces that seek our demise will win. Remember Iranian President Ahmadinejad’s frequent proclamation, "A world without Israel and without the United States is possible during our lifetime." I recommend the 9th chapter of the Koran for a quick "wake up" read.

Please accept my heartfelt thanks, appreciation, and respect for the wonderful patriotic mission you and the PGR execute all too frequently. It truly makes a difference to those of us who serve and more importantly to our grieving families.

I hope that our paths will cross again soon and on a happier occasion.

Thank you again for being great patriots and great Americans!

God Bless you all!

Very Sincerely,

I never thought I would write a letter like this. I have been a military wife for the last 10 years. My husband is SSgt. Paul Cross of the 82nd Airborne and I am so proud to be his wife. He is on his 4 deployment with the 82nd, and this is his 2nd in Iraq. While he is deployed I have moved up here to Follansbee WV to be with family. I was deeply moved to find out that you guys were traveling all this way to welcome home one of our fallen soldiers. People like you are truly angels in disguise.

While I hope to never need your services, I stand beside you as a great supporter that you are doing this not for you, but for people whom you don't even know. I am very proud that my husband protects the freedom of people like you. Keep up the good work, and know that even though I don't know you...

Don't think for a second that I don't think about you and pray for you and the work you do. Thank you so much

Riders-

Thank you so very much for for being present for Marine Sgt Tommy Gilbert of Downers Grove, IL. As a veteran myself, I salute you and all you do. Seeing you all at the funeral home gave me a feeling of comfort, honor and security. Watching you all ride by during the procession made me proud to be an American, because of true heros like you. You gave me faith, when mine was slipping.

What you do is a beautiful, heart-warming thing. You helped me remember what being a proud American means. Thank you so very much.

I am currently serving in the Navy and attended the same high school as Kraig. I will be unable to attend and e-mailed all I knew in an attempt to do something special for him. I just read about your organization and that you will be honoring him. Thank you for this expression of appreciation to him and his family.

Knowing that there are organizations like this to watch over our families should something happen to us is extremely comforting. God bless you all!!!

Thank you for the invaluable service you provide!

I would like to thank your members for the help you give to the families of our fallen soldiers. I am a grandmother who can remember losing family members in World War II, Vietnam and Korea. I also had a son and a son-in-law in Iraq during Desert Storm who were fortunate enough to come home.

And, having been a church member during my entire life, I just wanted to tell you how deeply ashamed of that church that protests and harasses the funerals for our servcemen and women. It doesn't deserve to be called a church.. So please keep up the good work.

God bless all of you.

Words alone cannot express how grateful we are to have had the patriot guard part of Ricky Mc Ginnis funeral in Texas and also his Memorial Service in Ohio. It meant so much seeing the the the guard lined up with flags in front of the church.

To have people that never met Ricky to come out and honor him that way you did meant alot to us.

God Bless you for all the work you do and all the happiness you bring the families during there time of sadness and grief. Keep up the good work!

Thanks again

I don't know how I found your website, but I'm so thankful that I have. I work in the airline industry and for over a year now, I had to swallow my own personal beliefs in order to perform my job. When a certain protesting group uses the airline I work for to get to their next destination in order to protest a Soldiers' funeral or homecoming, it truly is all I can do, to not be rude and just walk away from them. I know it's because of our soldiers, past and present, that they are able to protest these funerals.

But when I found Patriot Guard Riders, I thought, thank you, God, for giving someone the insight to form this amazing group. I absolutely would like to thank every single member of the group for doing what they do. And I hope more people will join and continue to show their support and respect.

It was so hard for me to have to personally deal with the Phelps' group, that I actually switched positions of where I work so I no longer have to "listen" to them. I'm not sure if even giving out that much information would get me in trouble at work, but I just would like to convey my sincere gratitude for everyone who has helped with Patriot Guard Riders.

My Dad is former 173rd Airborne and when God decides he's ready for my Dad to join him, I know I speak for my whole family when I say we would NOT want the Phelps or any other such kind to be there, spewing their hatred. However, again, speaking for my whole family, I also know we would all WELCOME the Patriot Guard Riders. At this time though, I hope it isn't any time soon as my Dad is, today, celebrating his 65th birthday. He was called "The Old Man" by others in his company because he was one of the few older ones.

Again, THANK YOU, everyone, in the Patriot Guard Riders.

My sister is Lance Cpl. Luke B. Holler fiancé. Our families are heartbroken over the loss of our precious Luke. I did a search under his name on Google so I could print articles out for my sister and came across your forum. It was so nice to read all the wonderful condolences. Luke wanted to be a Marine ever since I can remember and he believed in what he was doing. I am proud to know that my brother is a hero and gave the ultimate, his life, to protect his family and his country.

Thank you again - I look forward to possibly meeting some of you later this week. Sincerely, Jennifer

I just read an article about you all in the KC Star.

I just want to say - "Thank You".

I think that what those people from Topeka are doing is very wrong.

Thanks for being there to protect our dear Soldier's families.

I have a brother that is a retired Lt Col in the Air Force that flew

many sorties in Nam and a nephew that is currently in the

Air Nat'l Guard in St Joe - has been in Desert Storm and Iraq.

I hope that if & when something might happen -

that dear people like you would be there to protect our family.

Leavenworth, Kansas recently lost one of its own, Army Cpl. David M. Unger. I did not know Cpl. Unger but do know of the family. This was my first opportunity to see the Patriot Guard in action and I was deeply moved. Cpl. Unger's visitation was held at Leavenworth High School and I live not far from there. I had been at a meeting and was coming home around 5 that evening. When I got about 3 blocks away from the high school traffic came to a virtual standstill. As I got closer to the school my heart started to beat faster and tears welled up in my eyes at what I saw. On both sides of the street in front of the school and up the side street were many people each holding an American flag. Just quietly standing there respectfully. It was one of the most beautiful sites I've ever seen. As I progressed I saw the horrible group from Topeka across the street from the school with their vicious signs. It brought a smile to my face to see the guard standing there with their backs to this awful group. I saw a group of bikes parked there with engines running and couldn't figure out what the deal was. What happened next made me laugh out loud. The terrible group started with their stupid chanting and suddenly all of the bike engines were revved drowning them out quite nicely! It was just a wonderful sight to see and hear. Our local paper said over 300 people attended the visitation during the first hour. All of those people got to see the Guard in action. The main purpose of this letter is to say thank you to your group and to say how much I appreciate what you do. It gives our fallen soldiers a wonderful show of respect. In this morning's KC Star (Nov. 7) there is a story about the guard. The recent trip to Leavenworth is mentioned. Someone from the terrible group was quoted as saying they love the Guard coming because it gives them more attention and 100% of the people going by look at their signs. First, don't kid yourselves, that group hates the Guard being there! Second, I for one purposely turned my head and did not even look at the terrible group or their signs and I'm sure many other people did the same. I was also proud of our local paper, the Leavenworth Times, because their coverage of the event did not include one mention of the terrible group. In closing, I'd like to say that I am 57 years old and I was born in Leavenworth, Kansas. I am very proud of my state and enjoy living here. But one of the few times that I am ashamed to live here is whenever this terrible group is mentioned. I can say with 100% certainty to anyone reading this, this group's misguided opinions do not represent the people of Kansas. Thank you to the Patriot Guard for all you are doing.

Dear Patriot Guard Riders,

I cannot express how grateful we are for being with us on Monday at the honoring of my cousin Pfc. Jason Franco. Jason was more than a cousin to me, he was my brother. My heart sank, and tears kept running down my face, when I received the message that Jason had passed. Jason left us at a young age, but he served his country proud and made us all very proud of him, like the many soldiers that have served for our country. I want to thank you all for what you do, and in this time of need you have been a comfort to the Franco Family and his extended family as well. Words cannot express the gratidue I have for the PGR, and saying "Thank You" just doesn't seem enough. Thank you for honoring our servicemen and woman, for they will never be forgotten and always live in our hearts.

With mush love and respect,

Itzel Ramos

(Jason's 2nd oldest cousin)

RIDE SAFE AND GOD BLESS!!

Hello Jeff,

I am MarineMomB, mom of little PFC Taylor Batten in Michigan.

I wanted to take a moment of your time to thank you. I have been reading some of the stuff on the site. Seems like it has been heavy for a certain state. So, I want to say thank you for many reasons......

I want to thank you for the PGR. I want to thank you for the store. I want to thank you for all the time and energy and all the knock downs you take.

I know you know the story of my little Taylor. But you don't know it all about her, so I want to tell you a few things.

First off, Taylor has led us to be more patriotic. We have been sending care packages over to Iraq for about 2 years now because Taylor wanted to do it. She heard of the UGS, and she is the one that wanted to come to the mission when we first met up with the PGR. We knew, from the time we met those people, we were joining and we did. I am so incredibly proud to say we are PGR members, my whole family.

The whole PGR family has reached out to my family. We have gotten an amazing outreach from all over the United States from the PGR. First off, the PGR honors the fallen American heroes. They give send off's to troops leaving and they give welcome home rides to those returning. You know first hand the impact this has on the families. This is a great service! Now, think off all the PGR members. Many are from military background themselves, and for many it is from past wars. From what I have heard, this is a wonderful outlet for them, it helps them get rid of some of the demons they have had with them. Many of us are just American's that want to do their part. To us, it helps us in being able to do something. So now, you have made it possible to help families in their darkest hours, to help the families rejoice in welcoming home, to help vets heal, and to help the regular joe schmo do their part.

Now onto Taylor. You know of Taylor's day in our town that the Michigan PGR did. There were news media there and word got out. Many of the Michigan PGR put their own word out. So, here are some things you don't know. Because of Taylor's day and the involvement in the PGR, Taylor's story has seemed to have gotten out to the right people. She is all over the internet right now and people ARE reading and they ARE doing something about it. Because of the PGR involvement and certain people in it, while we were at Washington with her getting medical testing done, the National Naval Medical Center was contacted by someone that read her story from a PGR member. A visit was set up for her to go visit some very torn up Marines. It was one of the most incredible days ever for me as a mom to witness, but also for the guys she visited as well as the Marine's that allowed her in. She made a HUGE impact that day and it affected many people. This wouldn't have been possible without the PGR. That day, she met Lt Col Tim Maxwell from Camp Lejeune, and she has captured his heart and now things are in the works for her to be a part of the Wounded Warriors Barracks at Maxwell Hall. Again, not possible without the PGR.

We found out some devastating news on her testing, but she gained so MUCH strength in going to the NNMC, which by the way, she is going to be allowed to go back ANY time she wants to. The honor in meeting Lt Col Maxwell and the impact it is doing on his life, and her life is simply amazing. He was wounded in Iraq, shrapnel went right through his brain and it is a miracle he is alive. Just as it is a miracle that Taylor was even born. Yet, they are here and they were brought together, not possible without the PGR.

There are many things in the works for Taylor. As I said, her story is all over the net right now, and this is just the start. Her spirit is so high right now and this is what she needs. It has been a healing for our family as well.

On Taylor's day, a little feeble old man became strong again that day and he had a story to tell and people listened. He would not have been able to stand tall that day had it not been for the PGR. Taylor met an old vet at the Vietnam Wall and she was in her uniform, she saluted him and he saluted her back and then he grabbed onto her and sobbed. He cried and told her that every year he comes to the Wall and every year, he cries painful tears. Because of Taylor that day, he was crying, but they were not sad tears. Had there been no PGR, there would have been no Taylor day, there would have been no uniform and that old vet would have been crying painful tears again.

So now, Taylor is allowed to help those in need by sending care packages. She is going to be able to help the wounded and she is honoring the fallen. Again, mostly because of the PGR.

I can go on and on and on. This is just one family, and our story has reached out to others and then those others reach out and it just goes on. This is what it is like with everyone that the PGR has done good for. Please, remember this. You have a group of people that are disgruntled, and their negativity will spread a bit as you know. So, you have to remember the GOOD. You have to know the impact that has been made on thousands and thousands and thousands will always outdo the negativity of a few spattered here and there.

You are taking a beating by those few, but know there are way more out there that do not feel this way. The impact on the lives is life altering. Hold onto that. Don't let your head hang low or shoulders sag from the burden they want to add, hold your head high and shoulders straight for all the good that has been done, that is being done and that will be done.

I thank you for leading the PGR. The PGR has made sure that my daughter has a fighting chance. The PGR has made sure that my daughter was recognized for the warrior she is and many doors were opened for her. I honestly can't imagine how things would be for us right now if it weren't for the PGR, I really can't.

Thank you,

Cathy

To all of the Patriot Guard Riders, especially those who attended the Service for MAJ Dave Taylor in Apex, N.C.,

I was one of the mourners at that service. I was honored to have MAJ Taylor as a friend. Words cannot express how impressed and how moved I was by the Patriot Guard Riders. It was a sad day, but I will always remember it with grateful appreciation for your organization. Thanks for what you do. Keep up the great work and ride safe,

Sincerely,

I wanted to express to you my most sincere thanks. I am the widow of SSG Lawrence Parrish, and, from my prospective, the acts of respects and kindness shown by the riders of your organization was overwhelming. On October 7, 2006 my world was shattered. I hated the world and everyone in it. I was angry that my husband had lost his life protecting rights for a people that didn't care. I was wrong. The out-pouring of respect and support shown by so many was heart-warming. The Westboro Group is a speck compared to the masses that aren't afraid to stand-up and support our nation. This is the greatest nation in the world. And while it is people like Larry protecting her from abroad, it is Ladies and Gentlemen like you protecting the rightious on the homefront. I applaude you all.

And, as a side note...I would love to join your organization........Someone might want to teach me how to ride, though!!! Who's going to help me pick out a bike???

Yesterday, I had the opportunity to attend my 3rd ride with the PGR's. I hope it is my last ride, as I am sure we all wish the same. In reading today's paper, it probably will not be the last. I am so glad that I have been able to ride with the PGR's. I never knew this group existed until I saw the PGR's attend my son's friends funeral in Lumberton earlier this year. What an impressive sight. After the Jacob's funeral, my son Daniel and I joined this fine group of Patriots. I feel honored to ride along side you at such solemn events.

I have a big favor to ask of the membership. My son (who presented a U.S. Marine helmet to the mother of USMC Sanchez in Garner earlier this year) is back in Iraq. This is his second deployment in two years, and his unit is taking a big hit. He finally hit his first IED last week. Luckily, he came away with only a migraine and one hell of a Kodak moment. His humvee took a beating. By the grace of God he is still with us. We get to talk about once a week, and the PG subject always comes up. He felt so honored to be a part of the Sanchez funeral. He knows that if he makes it home next spring, there will be others. He will continue to ride with dignity to the services of these fallen warriors. A few weeks ago, Danny received a letter from Dennis Rogers. He still talks about it. Dennis is one of my son's hero's, because of his obvious patriotism with his news articles. Dennis's letter obviously gace him a boost, which I am sure he needed. Words of encouragement go a long way. I am going to give everyone my son's address in Ramadi. I am asking everyone who belongs to the PGR's to take a minute out of their busy day and just write him a short letter of encouragement, in fact address it to him but make sure you encourage his entire unit. He constantly advises me that so many of his fellow comrades receive no mail, while he receives mail on a weekly basis (so sad). I bet a letter from a PGR member would lift their spirits.

I know that this is a lot to ask, but I also know that the PGR's have big hearts. I've seen the tears, and I heard the singing at yesterday's event.

God Bless all of you, and let's hope we never have to meet again to ride, to cry, and to mourn.

Wayne R. Muller

Your guard stood proud to help the family of Major David Taylor Jr. on the 2nd of November 2006 in Apex, NC, if possible can you please send a letter of thanks to them for us. We live in England - my husband is stationed here and we went to school with David. After speaking to all our friends in attendance it is clear to us that you are angels that are still on this earth to serve and you have done a wonderful thing. We were unable to attend the service due to the distance and it just broke my heart - reading your re-caps and knowing how much the day effected so many of you - I can only imagine how beautiful it was. I THANK YOU as a military wife, and a friend of this brave selfless man - we will talk of your kindness for him and his family for years to come.

Major and Mrs. Patrick Ginn Blandford England

11/06/06

This is John Taylor, David's brother. My mother wanted me to send this to you in the hopes you would post this on your website/message boards.

My mother was at the Riz Raz cafe in Apex on Thursday morning. She had tears in her eyes when she saw the convoy of motorcycles roaring up the street. It helped strengthen her for the funeral when she realized the effort and energy so many people put into supporting the funeral.

I first went up to the Olive Chapel church around 9:30am. Quite simply, I was blown away. It felt like I had stumbled into a 4th of July parade, it truly did. It really did feel like there was an ocean of red, white, and blue there in the parking lot.

When our entire family came back up at 10:55am we drove right by the dozens of PG folks. I was lost in my own thoughts, but I remember craning my neck to look out at the bikers. You folks had your mouths open and it looked like you were singing. I remember saying "wow, they're singing. I didn't know bikers could sing!" Only later I found out why you were singing and that made it all the more special.

We've received almost one hundred messages from the community since Thursday, and in each and every message they made mention the beautiful job the Patriot Guard folks did that cool and crisp morning.

This is exactly what my brother would have wanted, Sirs. I guarantee you of that. He would have said "those idiot yahoo protesters had a right to protest, but WE also had a right to stand them down and drown them out with our own messages of patriotism, love, and kindness." Actually, my brother would have been slightly less eloquent, he would have said something to the effect that they had a right to protest, we had a right to give them the finger:)

I later found out that Dennis Rodgers, a very popular columnist from the News and Observer, was in attendance. I called him and we later talked about his contributions to the cause. I have bookmarked this website and, once I return to my teaching position at the US navy base in Japan, I'll sit down and slowly savor all these posts you folks did in preparation for the funeral. My mom, dad, and myself are all so thoroughly impressed with the job you did. We hope and pray your organization continues to ride.

You are all such wonderful people and the Taylor, Goodwin, Overman, Thresher, and Seckar families thank you.

Dear Guard Members,

You have a mission planned for Nov. 11th/06 in Eaton Rapids, MI. Lance Corp. Troy Nealey will be put to rest that day.

I was lucky enough to be one of Troy's teachers at Eaton Rapids High School. Drafting and woodworking were 2 of Troy's favorite classed and I was lucky to have had him in both. Troy was a great kid!! Good with his hands, helpful to other students and myself. At times I had to get on him about his projects. He would get behind because he spent to much time helping others. Troy was building houses and working as a Residential Electrician before he graduated from high school. He helped me a number of times while I was wiring my pole barn and basement. He was a great hand!

Just thought I'd drop you guys a note of thanks for all you do. Our little community is very thankful for your time and effort.

Thank you,

For all members of the Patriot Guard Riders, I deeply appreciate all the kind thoughts, words and prayers given by you all. I want to deeply express my thanks for all the riders who chose to honor my father today. As you know, many people forget about the lifelong struggles of the veterans of the war. All of you make a difference in not letting people forget but to honor those who serve and protect us from our enemies. I pray that your efforts never go unnoticed because you all deserve the utmost respect of all Americans. Again, I thank you all for the honoring of my father Roy Young Jr.

Sincerely,
Chris Killinger

To the Patriot Guard Riders:

It is with sincere appreciation and gratitude that I write this letter of thanks to all of you for your honorable sacrifices made for those of us in the military.

From Iraq, we heard of your efforts protecting the families of our fallen Seabees. Not only were we amazed at the abhorrent actions of the protestors, but were equally amazed that an organization of Americans, formed from the simple concepts of honor and respect, could amass and accomplish so much good in the midst of so much bad.

Your dedication to this cause is inspiring and the members of the Patriot Guard Riders prove that all of America is not apathetic, but very much alive and living meaningful lives of character and honor. One does not have to go to war to become a "hero". You all, through your selfless actions and commitment to duty, have proven this.

Thank you.

My wife (Bonny Block Edwards) and I would like to thank you again from the
bottom of our hearts for what your organization is doing to support and
protect the families, friends, and loved ones of fallen soldiers. I was
moved beyond words to look back down from the stairs of the church to see a
line of American flags blocking the view of the vermin who where there to
desecrate David's service. Please let me know if there is any thing that we
can do or give to help fund your efforts.

With deepest regards,

J. Michael Edwards

I posted this the day after the funeral on the tread that was dedicated to my dad:

We (Nicole, Michelle and (((((((our Dad)))))) would like to thank you from the bottom of our hearts. You made our dad's last request come to life in the most amazing and respectful way. He was definitely looking down with the biggest smile on his face. Not only did you honor our dad, you honored his family which touched his heart as well as ours. We are forever grateful to the PGR and if there is ever anything we can do for you, please do not hesitate to ask.

You have inspired my husband, friends and me to become PGR members. We all would like to honor and give the same respect you gave my dad to another one of our fallen heros.

Love,
Michelle & Nicole Burgio

To all of you in the Patriot Guard, I am deeply impressed by your
commitment to honor our fallen military personnel and to assist
active duty and retired military in so many loving and affirming
ways. I heard your story on National Public Radio recently. Our
country sure needs you right now. Thank you all for what you are
doing. You have made me more aware of how I can help honor our
military personnel, both present and past. I served during the
Vietnam War so I know how important it is for our military to see and
FEEL the support of the American public.

Dear Guard Riders,

I attended the funeral of Major David G. Taylor, Jr. in Apex, NC on Thursday, November 2. While Fred Phelps nor any of his unsavory ilk were not in evidence, the Patriot Guard was there in case any such protest occured. They were courteous and respectful. They were patriotic and inspirational. They stood in a U shape around the grave site and enclosed us as we stood and cried and said goodbye. I know many of them are veterans and I have not thanked them enough for their service. Thanks to all of them for their service in the military. Thanks to all of them for their service to David and his family. I was too engaged to thank them at the time, but I want them all to know that having them there to honor my dear friend is greatly appreciated.

I just want to take this time to THANK all those who came to honor and support Sgt. WillSun Mock and his Family. To see you all there with your flags was and emotional ride...tears came from such an AWESOME sight. Are there words that can even begin to tell you how much my family appreciated what you did for the Mock Family. We are members of the same church, and we watched WillSun grow up from a small boy to a Giant of a Man. What you did will always be a Cherished Memory in our lives. The time you sacrifice to honor all our returning and fallen soldiers is greatly appreciated!! You guys are the talk of the communities (Wellington to Harper). God Bless you all, as you do such an honored deed for all those who serve and have served this great nation. It is a Great Nation, and we are all Blessed to live here. May all your travels be protected, and you example be a example to us all!!

Thanks Again

To whom it may concern:

I wanted to send a note of appreciation to all of your members who participated in the funeral services of Sgt. Gilbert on Thursday, November 2. Sgt. Gilbert was part of the Marine unit (Alpha Co 1/24 - Grand Rapids, MI) that my husband, Marine Sgt Cliff Kozminski is currently serving with in Iraq. Many of the Marine wives, girlfriends and Mothers from our unit attended the service in Downer's Grove. As we traveled from Grand Rapids to the service, one thing we discussed at length was the seemingly lack of patriotism at times for our fighting heroes, especially now during the controversial war in Iraq. We had to wonder if, after all the time this war has been going on, do people still support their efforts? Do they feel a sense of loss with so many dying in the line of duty or has it become "routine"? Do they know the sacrifices we as family members are making for the cause? I can tell you this: our questions were answered the moment we approached the church and saw all of the PGR's standing there, braving the cold, with our beautiful American flags in hand. We were brought to tears and wanted to approach each one to give them and hug and thank them for what they were doing. We also felt a sense of security, knowing they were there, protecting all inside from those who dare to protest the very thing our military forces are fighting and dying for. It was nothing less than amazing.

Please let all of them know how very much it meant to us. May each of them be blessed with safety as they continue their mission to protect and serve, just as our Marines continue to do the same.

With gratitude, Julia Kozminski

I was driving home to Copperas Cove today and as I reached Town Square Shopping Center, I saw several motorcycles with the American flag flying. I've been avoiding the news due to the fact my husband is serving in Iraq currently so I have not heard about any funerals in the area for soldiers. I just knew who y'all were...I thought to myself I bet those are the people who attend the funeral of soldier's...once I turned down FM 116 South and passed the funeral home I saw more motorcycles parked at the driveways. It brought tears to my eyes and I wanted to turn back around and thank the ones in the parking lot. What y'all do means a lot to us, even the ones who have not called on you. It means a lot that people support the troops and are willing to drive across the states to show that support and keep out the protestors. I'm sure y'all get hundreds of emails daily so I'll wrap this up. I pray I never need to call on y'all for help. I thank y'all for everything y'all do to support our troops.

God bless y'all!

Sincerely,

I recently recieved an e-mail bringing to my attention what you are doing. I could not help crying tears of appreciation.

My spouse was the first Air Force Chaplain into Iraq. I lived out that time in daily fear that something would happen to my husband.

I could not imagine loosing someone so dear and then having to face the thoughtless taunts of protesters. Your thoughtfulness is daily making a huge difference in the lives of those families. Thank you for being willing to step up and do something about it.

I hope that I, nor anyone I know closely, need your services, but I am thankful that they are there if I ever do!

Thank you!

My parents attended this funeral and were so impressed with the presence and professionalism of the PGR. I believe that you all represented God's angels and were a tremendous consolation to the Taylor family. My respect goes out to the PGR and my sincerest condolences go out to the Taylors as each day will be an effort to complete. May God bless them with a supernatural strength to reach out to each other and to show the love of Jesus Christ to those families who may lose their soldier.

On Tuesday, your folks were kind enough to attend the services for my neighbors only child, in Lathrup Village, Michigan. It was very moving and your tribute brought me to tears. As a 52 year man who is not used to showing emotion in public, I did not mind. Thank you so much for you service. You make me proud to be an American. Rick Phillips

Dear Mr. Kern and Patriot Guard Riders,

In recent days the Brighton Fire Department has had the distinct honor of providing support services to the family of Lt. James N. Lyons (US Army). James’ death came when he was in combat in Iraq, creating for his mother, Marcia, and father, Bob, a grief that defies words. Immediately, the fire department was able to create structures of emotional, practical, and planning support to the family.

With equal immediacy the fire department leadership realized that we also had to build networks and alliances to make our primary mission to the Lyons family – and the family of James’ fiancé, Hillary Trent - effective. We reached out into the community, to individuals and agencies, and were gratified again and again that our requests were eagerly received and instantly affirmed. We were awestruck by your organization’s mobilization to honor James’ life and loved ones on.

Please accept our deep and abiding thanks for your role in helping us to move the Lyons family through the early stages of tragic grief and toward a path of healing.

In the future, many will look on the community’s unified response to James’ tragic death and will observe that our continuing unity and our ability to become allied in common cause is a legacy that affirms James’ life.

Again, thank you.

Vincent A. Nolan          Rev. Dr. W. Kenneth Williams

Chief                             President, Brighton Fire Department

Dear Sirs:
I first became aware of your group when you appeared at a soldier's funeral
here in Iowa about a year ago. I was and am so grateful for your quiet
presence and your actions to shield the family and the other mourners from
the protestors at this funeral. I have wanted to send a note all this time,
but didn't know how to contact you until NPR ran a story this morning about
your group and mentioned the web site. So..

THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart for what you did at Greg Tull's
funeral, and what you do for other military families. I have prayed for you
all, even though I don't know your names. May God continue to bless you and
yours.

A grateful American, and mother of a serviceman currently in Iraq.

Every morning on my way in to work I listen to NPR. I had just about decided to stop listening to any media all together as I am so tired of the political nonsense going on in this country, and then I heard a story about your organization. It was amazingly refreshing. I am not a veteran nor do I ride a bike, I’m a school teacher who needed reminding that there are good, caring people in this country that don’t care where someone stands politically or on the war, what religion they are, where you’ve been or where you are going. You reach out with tolerance, love, kindness, and respect. There was a time when I thought that was what this country was all about. Your organization has given me faith that all is not lost. God bless you all!

I just wanted to say that I found your website through wikipedia and
even though I am strongly against the war in Iraq, I would like to
extend my thanks to your organization for doing a great thing. I've
followed WBC for quite some time, well before mainstream media found
them, and I think you've finally managed to find a great way to
neutralize his hate and extend honor to fallen soldiers.

Again, thank you for all your work.

Sean,

I wanted to send a thank you to all of you in the Patriot Guard. A close friend of mine, Lance Corporal Joshua Hines was KIA on the 15 of October in Iraq. The Patriot Guard was at his wake and funeral service this past Thursday and Friday in Casey, IL. I just wanted to thank you on behalf of Joshua's friends and family. It meant a lot to not only see the community support of Casey but also the turnout and respect of the Patriot Guard. Thank you very much.

Patriot Guard Members,

I just wanted to let all your members know how much it meant to the family and friends of Daniel Brozovich that you took the time to watch over both viewings and attend Dan's funeral in Pittsburg, PA on Oct the 28th. Mary, Dan's widow was very greatful that yours and all of the other motorcycle groups showed up. Dan wouldn't have had it any other way, he had just bought his 1st motorcycle, a Harley Sportster late last summer, and Mary and Dan and my wife and I rode to West Virginia in Oct. of last year. My wife and I and Mary would like to thank you all for your incredible patriotism and loyalty to our military. I have since joined your group and as soon as we can help Mary get back on her feet I look forward to riding with you. Thanks Again and God Bless.

Sincerely

Scott Hanna
