I was overly moved by your presence for my husband Sgt Bill Bessette; I had to move ahead of time and out of step (sorry) to personally thank each and every one of you. It’s a great service you all do and I know Bill would tear up from it, especially as you know there was no Hero Welcome for him when he returned home, but that didn’t break him he moved on and did another hero act when he captured two escaped prisoners from Fishkill Correctional Facility without a weapon, so was truly happy when his backup came quickly. He enjoyed sharing that story. He was my Hero for many years.
