The Patriot Guard Riders will stand in honor of LT John S. Decker, Prince George’s County Police Department (PGPD) and the United States Marine Corps.
A proud law enforcement officer with almost 50 years of experience, LT Decker joined PGPD in 1973 and served in the bureau of patrol at districts I, II, VI, and supervised the Langley District. Promoted to Sergeant and then Lieutenant in 1993. In addition to serving in various patrol districts, LT Decker served on the Repeat Offenders Unit, Gang Unit, and Internal Affairs Division. As part of the internal affairs division, he was instrumental in starting the drug testing program.
LT Decker after being shot in the line of duty, survived, having a long and distinguished career.
LT Decker has a large and loving family and will be missed by them all
