TSgt Connie Gene Hudson began a 20-year career in the U.S. Air Force immediately after completing high school. He served in the USAF as a jet engine mechanic. During TSgt Hudson’s service, he completed a tour in Vietnam, earning the Vietnam Campaign Medal. He was also awarded the NCO Professional Military Education Ribbon, AF Longevity Service Award w/3 Oak Leaf Clusters, the National Defense Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Air Force Good Conduct Medal w/5 Oak Leaf Clusters and the Air Force Commendation Medal. After his retirement, he continued to serve as a respected Longbow instructor at Ft. Rucker, AL.
