Belinda Kay Caancan, wife, mother, sailor, sister passed onto her rewards on the 5th of September. Of her 4 years in the Navy three and a half were spent on a small base in Italy. She attained the rank of Petite Officer Second Class. It was here she meet and married her husband. Kay was described as “a beloved presence whose kindness, warmth, and devotion to her family and friends left an indelible mark on all who knew her. She was a proud Veteran of the United States Navy (1974–1978) who lived a life rich in honor, love, and cherished memories with those she held dear.” She is survived by her daughter, 2 granddaughters, 3 brothers, 1 sister and many nephews, nieces, grandnephews and grandnieces.
