William “Shine” Oliver Lane enlisted in the United States Navy in 1966, shortly after high school graduation. Mr. Lane served America faithfully for three years, seven months and 18 days, including two years, 11 months and four days of foreign and/or sea service. Mr. Lane rose to the rank of E-4 with a rating of EO3, Equipment Operator. During his service time, EO3 Lane was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal (w/ 2 stars), the Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal and the Antarctica Service Medal.

Instructions:
We will stand a silent flag line during visitation from 11:00 AM until the service begins at 1:00 PM. After the start of the service, we will prepare for a rolling honor guard to Cedar Creek Primitive Baptist Church (approx. 12 miles) where we will stand a silent flag line during the graveside service.
Flags will be provided.
If you have large bike flags, please bring them.
Water will not be provided, please bring your own.
