Sergeant (E-5) Charles Thomas Watahovich served as an Ordnance Stockman in the 3rd Marine Division for three years, from September 1953 through September 1956. This was the period just after the end of the Korean War. Charlie served 10 months and 11 days foreign and/or sea service in Japan and Okinawa.
Sgt Watahovich earned the National Defense Service Medal and the Good Conduct Medal. Upon his release from active duty, Sgt Watahovich was transferred to the Marine Corps Reserve with five years of obligated service.
