Joe was a New Mexico native born in Socorro in 1935 and raised in the South Valley as part of one of its founding families. He proudly lived his entire life and raised his family in the South Valley. Joe served in the Air National Guard as a Maintenance Technician. He also worked with the 150th Special Operations Wing nicknamed the “Tacos” unit at Kirtland Air Force Base. He earned the Meritorious Service Medal, the Air Force Expeditionary Medal, and the Air Force Organizational Excellence Medal.
