About the Mission:
E-3 boatswain mate Samuel Welch proudly served his country from April of 1965 to April of 1969 when he was honorably discharged. He earned the National Defense medal, the Vietnam Service medal with 3 bronze stars, and the Republic of Vietnam Campaign medal with device.
He enjoyed his family, fishing, boating, and camping. He loved taking his wife dancing and to dinner. He was loved and respected by all who knew him.

PGR will quietly stand a respect line at Ft Gibson National Cemetery, 1423 Cemetery Rd, Ft Gibson, Ok., 74434 at 1:30 PM. Navy will do the honors, PGR will read and present the plaque and letter of invocation.
