On behalf of my family, I would like to express my deepest gratitude for the honor and respect you showed my father, Allen Clinton, at his funeral.
Your presence meant more than words can adequately express. During one of the most difficult times in our lives, seeing the American flags waving proudly and witnessing the dignity and reverence you brought to his service was a powerful reminder of the values my father held dear—faith, family, country, and service.
As a United States Army veteran, Dad was proud of his country and grateful for the freedoms he helped defend. Knowing that fellow patriots stood in tribute to him on his final journey brings our family tremendous comfort. While he may not have known in life that you would one day be there to honor him, I know in my heart he would have been deeply humbled and proud.
The Mississippi Patriot Guard embodies the very best of America: selfless service, respect for our veterans, and an unwavering commitment to ensuring that no hero is forgotten. Your willingness to give your time and stand in honor of those who served speaks volumes about your character and your love for our nation.
Please accept our sincere thanks for the kindness, patriotism, and respect you showed to our father and our family. Your tribute helped make his farewell a truly meaningful and memorable one. We will never forget the sight of those flags standing proudly as we said goodbye.
