Thank you for your service of honorary guard through the funeral service, leading the procession, and staying for the burial ceremony. My entire family was extremely moved by Patriot Guard and the people of Tennessee pulling off the opposite side of a 4 lane highway with median. We’d never witnessed anything like that. We were all crying pretty much the entire drive to the Chattanooga National Cemetery not because we’d lost our father and Captain but because of the respect from your group, the Rhea County Police Department, and especially the ordinary citizens of Tennessee. My father owned many motorcycles during his life; his last being a Honda Goldwing. He would have absolutely loved knowing he was being escorted by your organization.
Your organization was extremely respectful, decorum perfect, and mission absolutely worthwhile. You brought a silver lining to an otherwise very sad day. For a brief respite, you helped to bring tears of joy during a time of grief. We are forever thankful for your service. Please continue your mission, it definitely makes a difference, an unquantifiable difference. God bless all of you.
