My husband, Michael Fasnacht, was KIA June 8, 2005. He was the first Minnesotan to be KIA in Iraq. It was a media circus to the point of filming outside the church when we were bringing his casket inside. It was horrible. Media continued to follow us out to the cemetery and the Patriot Guard saved us from them. They blocked the road so media could not get through and allowed me, family and friends lay Mike, our beloved hero to rest. To this day it brings tears to my eyes and how grateful I am that they were there. Thank you and God Bless!
