William Ernest Beck is a United States Navy Veteran. He enlisted and proudly served from September 1955 and was honorably discharged October 1959. William obtained the rank of AD 2, Aviation Machinist Mate 2nd Class. He served 4 years and 01 month and 9 months foreign service. William’s last duty assignment was VP-24 NAS (Naval Air Station), Norfolk, Virginia. His primary Specialty NEC 6425 stands for F-414 -GE-400 Turbofan Jet Engine Third Degree/IMA mechanic. October 1959 William transferred to the Navy Reserves, Los Angeles, California, HSAR rescue operations, particularly involving helicopter crews and swimmers or sometimes Combat Search and Rescue. William was honorably discharged from the Navy Reserves September 1961. His education and training: United States Navy, ANR (Active Noise Reduction) refers to technology used in helmets and headsets to reduce low-frequency such in jet engine roar or wind ADA (Air Defense Artillery). William earned the following medals, badges, citations and campaign medals: Good Conduct Medal (first award for period ending September 14 1958).
