CTRC Edward E. States, age 86, United States Navy Veteran, retired, passed away May 23, 2026. He enlisted in the Navy in 1958 and served over 20 years. He was stationed in the Philippines, Guam, Puerto Rico, Spain, Taiwan, Maine, and Florida. He was a Morse operator and Recruiter/Career Counselor. After his military retirement, he worked as the manager of housekeeping at White County South in Searcy and the Doubletree in Little Rock. He enjoyed golf, Razorback football, baseball, basketball, and trips to the cabin on the Little Red River for fishing. He is preceded in death by his parents, and survived by his wife of 64 years, daughter, son, sister, brother, 5 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews. His dog Sugah Bear will be missing her best buddy.
