SSgt Rambo entered the Air Force at Dallas, TX on October 5, 1983, serving during The Persian Gulf War. He was honorably discharged at Peterson Air Force Base, CO on December 4, 1992.
He received the following: Air Force Achievement Medal, Air Force Outstanding Unit Award, Air Force organization Excellence Award, Air Force Good Conduct Medal W/2 Oak Leaf Clusters, National Defense Service Medal, Air and Space Overseas Long Tour Service Ribbon, Air Force Longevity Service Award Ribbon W/1 Oak Leaf Cluster, NCO Professional Military Education Graduation Ribbon W/1 Oak Leaf Cluster, Small Arms Expert Marksmanship Ribbon, Air Force Training Ribbon.

Flag Line: Immediately following escort.
The Patriot Guard Riders will be participating and standing a Flag/Respect line at the service of SSgt David Franklin Dickerson-Rambo, USAF Gulf War Veteran, Ardmore, OK, to be held at 1:00 PM Friday 20 June 2025 at SN Billy Turner Veteran Cemetery, Ardmore, OK
We will stage at the Visitor Center just inside SN Billy Turner Veteran Cemetery, we will post flags at the Committal area then return to the Visitor Center to provide accompaniment for the veteran to the committal area.
Military Honors will be conducted by the Air Force and American Legion Honor Guards
Flags will be provided.
If you have large bike flags, please bring them.
Water will not be provided, please bring your own.
