About the Mission:

The South Carolina Patriot Guard has been invited to stand for Mr. Harvey N. Middleton as he once stood for us. We would be proud and honored to do so. Mr. Middleton passed away on February 9, 2026.

Instructions:

A briefing will be held at 8:00 am. After the briefing, we will prepare to escort Mr. Middleton from the funeral home to Bethesda Christian Fellowship Church. Expected departure is 8:30 am.
Anyone not participating in the escort can go directly to the Bethesda Christian Fellowship Church to await arrival of the funeral procession. (Please arrive by 8:30 am.)

Stage 2 Details:
February 19, 2026 — 9:00 AM

Instructions:

Upon arrival from the funeral home, we will render honors as Mr. Middleton is moved from the car into the church. At that time, we will stand a flag line as family and friends arrive for the church service. We will hold the flag line until the beginning of the service, scheduled for 10:00 am. Once the service starts, we will stand down and prepare for an escort to Beaufort National Cemetery for a 12:00 pm service.
Anyone not participating in the escort can go directly to Beaufort National Cemetery to await arrival of the funeral procession. (Please arrive by 11:15 pm.)

Flags will be provided.
If you have large bike flags, please bring them.
Water will be provided.

February 19, 2026 — 11:30 AM

Instructions:

Upon arrival from the church, we will stand a flag line and render honors as Mr. Middleton is moved from the car to the committal shelter. We will hold the flag line for the duration of the ceremony, scheduled for 12:00 pm, again rendering honors when military honors are presented. At the conclusion of the service, we will stand down.

Flags will be provided.
Large Bike Flags will not be needed.
Water will be provided.
