Sergeant James Keith Harris enlisted in the US Marine Corps on 08 August 1963, serving in Aviation Ordinance until 10 April 1969. During this period, he completed one 13-month tour in Vietnam.
Sergeant Harris earned: the National Defense Service Medal; the USMC Good Conduct Medal; a Vietnam Service Medal; and the Vietnam Campaign Medal
