The family of Charles “Chuck” Bryant have requested the SC Patriot Guard Riders (PGR) to be present for his final formation, and it would be our honor to do so. We participated in a parade in his honor on March 2, 2025 in the Ponds community.
Mr. Bryant joined the Air National Guard in 1972 where he served as a flight medic and was involved in humanitarian missions over his 23 years of service, ending his career as a Senior Master Sergeant (E-8). During this time, he also joined the Memphis Police Department in 1973 as an officer, he served with the tactical unit, organized crime, and sex crimes unit and worked under the DEA. He retired as an executive major in 1998.
Mr. Bryant was a resident of the Ponds community and served as the President of the Board of Directors. He has several accomplishments during his term; lobbying successfully to have a traffic light installed at the entrance to reduce accidents, getting a Farmer’s Market, and numerous other achievements. He was honored by the Dorchester County Council on February 3, 2025 for his civic accomplishments.
Mr. Bryant enjoyed owning and riding Harley Davidsons and was also a member of the SC Patriot Guard Riders. His other hobbies included restoring classic vehicles, riding horses and playing with his grandchildren.
