Charles Haven Fortner, a United States Army Veteran, proudly served his country from 1950 to 1970. While in service to his country he achieved the rank of First Sergeant working as an Aircraft Maintenance Supervisor. He earned many medals and commendations to include the Army of Occupation Medal (Japan), Korea Service Medal, United Nations Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal with One Oak Leaf Cluster, Good Conduct Medal 5th Award, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, Mechanic Badge with Mechanic Crew Chief and Propeller Bar, Senior Aircraft Crewman Badge, Vietnam Cross of Gallantry with Palm, Vietnam Service Medal, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal with Device, Air Medal with One Oak Leaf Cluster and the Bronze Star Medal. First Sergeant Fortner’s final duty station was Fort Huachuca, Arizona where he retired and was honorably discharged on November 30, 1970.

We will escort our Hero and family to the Southern Arizona Veterans Memorial Cemetery Chapel area for 12:00 p.m. Military Honors.

Remember to hydrate the day before as well as the day of the mission.
