Honor Mission
Daniel “Dan” Dlask, Veteran

About the Mission:

Daniel Jason Dlask, 37, passed away on Friday, April 18, 2025. A devoted husband, loving father and son: Dan’s legacy of love, service, and selflessness will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
Dan was born November 11, 1987 in Marshfield, Wisconsin to Daniel Jude Dlask and Sandra Linnemanstons. Dan attended high school in Waunakee and graduated in 2006. After graduation, he enlisted in the United States Navy, where he proudly served his country. Dan attended Boot Camp at Recruit Training Command—Great Lakes (Division 06-347), beginning a journey of service that would define much of his life.

Dan honorably served in the United States Navy for 18 and a half years, with a rating of Gunners Mate, during which he deployed seven times. Throughout his distinguished career, he earned numerous recognition’s including Bluejacket of the Year and Sailor of the Year; as well as several awards including a Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal, seven Navy Marine Achievement Medals, and five Good Conduct Medals.

As a Chief Petty Officer, Dan was not only a leader but a mentor—he was wise beyond his years, and a friend to all those who had the absolute honor to serve alongside him, no matter the rank. His service included time at United States Naval Academy, Navy Expeditionary Guard Battalion Guantanamo, Riverine Squadron Two, Naval Special Warfare Group Two Logistics Support Unit, Navy Recruiting District Chicago, USS Lewis B. Puller (ESB-3), and Recruit Training Command.

Dan met the love of his life in May 2017. They married on May 14, 2018 at Saint Bronislava Parish in Plover, WI. Dan’s love for his wife was unparalleled. Together, they had two beautiful children who were the pride and joy of his life.
