Danny served in the US Army from March 1970 through December 1971. He was a combat veteran who served one year in Vietnam. He achieved the rank of SGT (E5) and received the following awards and decorations: Army Commendation Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Republic of Vietnam Civic Action 1st Class, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal with 60 Device, Sharpshooter Qualification Badge, and 2 Overseas Service Bars.

Instructions:
Riders will stage at the visitor’s center to be briefed about our veteran and his interment service. Honor bikes will be selected and moved to the staging lanes where they will proceed with family and friends to the shelter, led by the DFWNC Representative. The remaining riders will proceed to the assigned shelter, set flags, and await the procession. Riders will stand “tall and silent” for the interment service, including military honors and the presentation of our certificate of appreciation. When directed, upon conclusion, riders will pull the flags and carry them to the rear of the shelter to be furled and put away.
