Edwin Joseph Cure, Jr. 86, of Glendale, Arizona, passed away on June 14th, 2026, in Vilonia, AR Born on January 28th, 1940, in Pine Bluff, AR, Ed grew up in Blytheville, AR where he graduated from Blytheville High School in 1958. He chose a career of service in the military, graduating from the U.S. Army Helicopter Flight School in 1969, and rose to the rank of Chief Warrant Officer 4 while serving as a helicopter pilot and maintenance officer during multiple tours overseas in Vietnam, Germany, Korea as well as other locations. Medals and Awards include Army Commendation Medal 3 OLC; National Defense Medal; Vietnam Service Ribbon; Army Service Ribbon; Overseas Ribbon 3; Vietnam Campaign Ribbon; Republic of Vietnam Gallantry Cross Unit Citation; Master Aviator Badge; Vietnamese Cross of Gallantry with Palm; Expert Qualification Badge (M-16); Meritorious Service Medal 1 OLC. Survived by his best friend and partner, 2 daughters, their mother, 5 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren,1 brother, 1 sister and his faithful dog.
