Donald Ray Poteet, 76, of Jacksonville passed away April 1, 2026. He was born June 15, 1949 in Chattanooga, TN. Donald served for 20 years in the US Air Force; 6 yrs as a Cost Analysis Technician and then 14 yrs as a Security Supervisor. He retired at the rank of Tech Sergeant (E6).
Donald was a simple man who enjoyed hanging with his buddies at the Waffle House, shooting, and reading books.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Corene. Survivors include two children; seven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren with one on the way; and several others. He will be laid with his wife, who is already interred at ASVC.
