About the Mission:

Shirley served our Country in the US Army during the Korean War. He served with the 8th Army, 565th Grave Registration Company, reaching the grade of Staff Sergeant and earning 5 medals during his service including 5 Bronze stars. Upon returning home from the war, he worked in the Poultry Industry for 28 years, as a laborer for the Town of Searsport for 25 years, and most recently worked at Hamilton Marine in Searsport for 20 years, where he worked until October 2021.
