About the Mission:

It is a most distinct honor and privilege for the Patriot Guard Riders to stand a flag line of honor and respect for Giuseppe Joseph Marino, 83, and to escort him to his final resting place at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery. US Marine Corps veteran Marino proudly served his country from November 1958 to April 1960 as an Infantryman with the Headquarters Company, H&S Battalion, MCRD, San Diego CA, earning the rank of Private First Class (PFC).
PFC Marino, a grateful nation thanks you and is indebted to you for your honorable service. Your sacrifices have granted us the freedoms we continue to enjoy to this very day. Thank you and Godspeed.

 

Primary Staging Details:
August 26, 2024 — 12:30 PM
Sylvan Springs Park Parking Lot
Sheridan Road just past Boundary Road, on the left
(I-270, exit 2 Telegraph Road north, Sheridan Road right/east, left just past Boundary Road)
St. Louis, Missouri   63125

Instructions:

12:30 PM: Staging, Ride Meeting (Flag Line at the shelter only).
12:45 PM: Family and Hero’s urn arrive.
12:50 PM: Escort to Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery (0.5 miles).
01:00 PM: Committal Service with full military honors.
Check weather in the morning and dress/travel appropriately.
Remember to hydrate. Any vehicle is always welcome.

 

Flags & Water:
Flags will be provided.
If you have large bike flags, please bring them.
Water will be provided.
