About the Mission:

The family of Norman Legrand Hicks 80 has requested the (PGR) Patriot Guard Riders to honor his last formation. In doing so, there will be a memorial service with an escort to a graveside ceremony to do. Norman Legrand Hicks was a South Carolina Army National Guard Veteran who earned the rank of First Sergeant (1SG) E-8. 1SG Hicks was a Deployment 1SG in the SC Army National Guard with (39) years with an honorable discharge. During his service he retired from Lockheed/Martin with (32) years. 1SG Hicks was a caring man and church member. 1SG Hicks wanted to help everyone he met. 1SG Hicks was a loving husband of (58) years, father and grandfather and enjoyed working with wood with his hands and a wonderful man caring for his entire family. His family called him “Legrand’.

Instructions:

Following the briefing 11:15 AM, a flag line will be established, as the family and friends proceed into the church for the memorial service at 12:00 PM. When the service starts, the PGR will stand down and return their flags to the flag wagon. Then get ready to render honors as they place 1SG Hicks in the hearse. PGR will then prepare to escort the hearse to Carolina Memorial Gardens.

Flags will be provided.
If you have large bike flags, please bring them.
Water will be provided.

Instructions:

PGR will then escort the hearse to Carolina Memorial Gardens. The PGR will already have a flag line in place and render honors when needed during the memorial service. After the service the PGR will return their flags to the flag wagon and return to their homes.
